So I’ve not seen it written here anywhere as to why these charges were coming back so I can only speculate.

I find the re-emergence of Chris Kerr to be especially interesting, with Faith’s dad threatening child porn charges. I wonder if it was a back door deal between the Kerrs (his mom-Chris’s mom- seemed pretty upset and desperate) and the Vickers- Chris takes off the dildo hat, puts in a tie, and cooperates with the police; up to and including testifying; and he doesn’t press the charges. Or, at least, if the prosecution does then Faith doesn’t have to cooperate.
I just find it very curious timing indeed that all those Chris Kerr texts and emails with Faith drop (with none of them predating the gunt tape iirc, those which could embarrass both Faith and Chris) and with threats of child porn/grooming/ wtf ever charges and then this case gets reopened.

I'm inclined to agree in my speculation.
That Faith both conceived and is currently raising Ralph's child should have taught Mr. Vickers that he can't strategize his way out of a paper bag. There aren't any heroes in this story, though, so it'll be interesting to see how it plays out. I only hope Xander doesn't suffer in the crossfire.

Yes but not apparently one that you need to register for unless it involves a minor or it's a third offense. It's listed in § 9.1-902 and the dissemination charge is § 18.2-386.2.

. . .or a third or subsequent conviction of § 18.2-67.4, § 18.2-67.4:2, subsection C of § 18.2-67.5, § 18.2-386.1, or, if the offense was committed on or after July 1, 2020, § 18.2-386.2.

The language is a little gnarly, to the point I initially read the "third or subsequent conviction" as only applying to the language leading up to "or, if the offense was committed on. . ." but considering normal drafting rules, I think it probably applies to the § 18.2-386.2 charge too. Who knows? An ambitious prosecutor could argue otherwise and baffle the court with bullshit.
