Actually, some guy from YS threads came with that idea and even wrote the entirety of that "I don't feel anything" opening, but still, it fits too well.
I remember back in spring 2015 when I watched Pewds, Jacksepticeye, and Markiplier play Yandere Sim for the first time. As the typical dumb kid who hated anime for no good reason back then (oh, how the mighty have fallen), I actually really fucking liked the demo because hurr durr, I was an edgy kid who liked nothing but straight-up bloodshed and destruction back then.
However, as I transitioned from a middle schooler to high school, I realized to myself, "When the fuck will the guy who is behind this ever finish this game and what is taking him so long?" then I saw the date it was finally going to be supposedly released and was relieved and quickly forgot about it because I was still about as retarded as I was in middle school and only cared about FNAF.
My interest in Yandere Sim and Alex completely ended until the ban speedruns picked up in popularity. Then I decided to dive deeper because obviously we were in the middle of a fucking lockdown and there was nothing better to do, so I did what any bored and curious person would do and got a bit of background info on Yandere Dev, thanks to not only YouTube but also lurking on here as well. That's when all my respect for five years I had for the game and Alex immediately went out the door, and I joined in at laughing at his utter incompetence.
It's just astounding that he cannot take any sort of advice or criticism whatsoever to shorten his code or improve his development of the game, Osana included. Terry A. Davis had at least some justification to acting so high and mighty because he really was a genius. Alex however has no excuse to acting like an egotistical brat in the middle of a Walmart.

Could it be, that Alex won't start official crowdfund because he doesn't want to take full on responsibility as a developer?
As we established, Alex is not much of a actual dev but a LARPer with minimum effort put into the game. Him profiting only of patreon while giving small updates on blog and YT cannot obviously cound as a big development process, but rather something you make on your own volition as a hobby/passion project. One would say it's a nice excuse to stall the development as long as you want because you don't have to answer before anyone. People watching the development are assumed to be just along someone else's ride, they might even throw a coin their way or do some free
work for the game for free.
When you are making a full on Kickstarter campaign, you are not also oppening another donation box, but also say to the world "Hey! This is my project I am going to dedicade my work and attention to get it to market! It's almost set, all I need is your money!" This is an unspoken contract you sign your name under, and it means full on responsibility before people who invested in it. If you are to break it by abandoning your project or taking too much time to the point people start to doubt it's ever finished, you are likely to be considered a full on scammer and a fraud.
Also, it's common for scam game projects to keep fake engagement through infinite ammount unrepresentative teasers, having discord server, and yes, having a blog that is constatly updated with irrelevant bullshit, not to mention contest for community with vague prises like "We will allow you to design one character for us". Now who else does the same thing to make sure his fanbase won't loose already dying momentum? Hmmm...
So, the worst thing that can happen to Alex is a succesfull Kickstarter. That mean he will have to abandon Patreon teat, stop the ever going LARP and actually jump start the work on the project, and we all know YanDev despises the concept of actually working.
Now any reasonable person would just state that this their own personal project they are making for themselves and maybe for the amusement of others, and people can ether can tag along for a long journey, or just don't pay attention and expect anything, but...

In theory, yes. However there have been plenty of kickstarters that went virtually abandoned for months or longer, only for a statement to be released later saying the game/product/whatever was never coming out with some vague reason that doesn't really address anything. Kickstarter also doesn't issue refunds for abandoned or cancelled projects. The worst that usually happens is an article gets written about it if there's enough immediate backlash and the creators go into hiding and lock down their internet accounts for a while.

Not exactly. He claimed that "after Osana evey rival will be easier to add", even though it is obviously not true. He then said that copying Osana into other rivals is not an option, now he says "I have a fast way to add all the rivals" and considering that he doesn't need voice lines and cutscenes, it's gonna be shameless copypaste with minor adjustments. So without further interruption, let's take a look at complete (or almost complete) early history of EvaXephon.

On May 8, 2004 Alex joined YTMND. I can't say much about it, since the nature of that website is more about watching that reading and I can't really conclude if his websites were something out of the ordinary on YTMND or not. But I can list some of the most notable ones, which are obviously NSFW:

Otherwise, his activity plummeted after 2006. He then tried to stir up shit in 2007 and the fact that someone made this in 2008 and that his average comment rating is -1.10 kinda hints that he wasn't well liked. Unsurprising, unlike the fact that his last log in was in 2017.

Sadly, often overlooked part of Alex's shenanigans, even though there was a lot and I mean A LOT of things that he spewed. He joined it on May 9, 2004 (requires registration, so have a screenshot):
Despite the most active topic listed, his reason for joining was surprisingly attempt at creating his own AMV, but he quickly gave users of that forum a taste of things to come, firstly, by making a wild theory that "Trigun" was ripping-off "Gunsmoke" and something else - he asked for help with Virtual Dub, but users told him to read a guide and what did he do? After barely a day a day on that website he proposes a new rule - if you know the answer, just tell it, no guides!
It would be too tiresome to go through his every post there, so I'll try to describe it in a nutshell, but if you want more - all the notable links are in the attached file.
As a cherry on top, he also showed love "for those life-sized anime dolls", so his dollfuckery may be way older than we thought.
But why did he leave only 2 years after? Had it something to do with him almost crossing the line with lewd anime pictures or crying about being a virgin? Not at all, since those happened only once each. The reason was a little more personal and way more autistic, since after a couple of mentions about his gallery, he decided to unleash all of his autism by creating this thread on July 21, 2006, just a day after they were finished. It doesn't go very well since people see his criticism as very surface-level and point out that both animes had different inspirations. Ales doesn't give up though and the next day comes back with the additional page, full of butthurt and bitterness, which then considered too embarrassing and deleted somewhere in 2010. Things get worse, when the next day turns out, that he was spamming other forums too. But the worst was yet to come:

On Aug 23, 2004 Alex joined this gaming news website/forum, that I've never heard of. I was unable to sign in/register or even search for his posts, since backend of these forums is fucked into the dirt. If you have an account there or have a better idea how to find any of his 4256 posts, then be my guest. Be careful though, since it is full of porn pop-ups and ADs.

Alex has a rather long and complicated history of terrorizing this website. His first account was named NeonEvaXephon and back then he was one of those rude people that he dislikes so much. He got banned for giving GTA; San Andreas two reviews in a span of a month, one rating it 4/10 for swearing and the other 9/10.
This one is probably the most infamous and for a good reason - even without Alex's constant nonstop whining about being a virgin, he posted there stuff so questionable, that I am really surprised why so many people ignore it. Think of AMV.org, but if Alex spent there almost 5 years instead of 2. Sadly, the website is an absolute clusterfuck today and the oldest threads from 2005 can be accessed only through direct link. Also, pages can't be properly archived, since viewing requires CAPTCHA, but I link pages as archives anyway to save letters. Then again, Alex's post history on Gaia is very long and sadly quite monotone, so if you want to dive in, then check attached file, while I'll try to give you the basic idea through screencaps.
It's unknown when exactly Alex joined Gaia Forums, but my best guess is 2005, since his friend Lord Nebilim joined back then.

Something tells me that the same day he renamed his account into Not_Depressed_Anymore and then changed OPs of a year worth of threads into [RESOLVED]. But that wasn't the end.
On Sep 22, 2014 he came back and asked to delete one old topic, but to throw everyone off his tracks, this time he added "Neon" to his name. Now look when was the last time when he logged into his AMV.org account.
Getting negative reply to all his demands he left. Then during the hacks of July, 2020 his old account was hacked and renamed into Not_Coding_Anymore.

Yeah, sadly at some point Alex had to join this place, but not because he was suicidal, rather because he made the forum members suffer even more. He joined forums on Mar 6, 2005 (yeah, you know):

So what was he doing there? Well, in short, making people even more miserable. I don't know about you, but usually people use this when they don't want to say "we had sex". Despite the most active topic listed, his reason for joining was surprisingly attempt at creating his own AMV, but he quickly gave users of that forum a taste of things to come, firstly, by making a wild theory that "Trigun" was ripping-off "Gunsmoke" and something else - he asked for help with Virtual Dub, but users told him to read a guide and what did he do? After barely a day a day on that website he proposes a new rule - if you know the answer, just tell it, no guides!
It would be too tiresome to go through his every post there, so I'll try to describe it in a nutshell, but if you want more - all the notable links are in the attached file.
But why did he leave only 2 years after? Had it something to do with him almost crossing the line with lewd anime pictures or crying about being a virgin? Not at all, since those happened only once each. The reason was a little more personal and way more autistic, since after a couple of mentions about his gallery, he decided to unleash all of his autism by creating this thread on July 21, 2006, just a day after they were finished. It doesn't go very well since people see his criticism as very surface-level and point out that both animes had different inspirations. Ales doesn't give up though and the next day comes back with the additional page, full of butthurt and bitterness, which then considered too embarrassing and deleted somewhere in 2010. Alex has a rather long and complicated history of terrorizing this website. His first account was named NeonEvaXephon and back then he was one of those rude people that he dislikes so much. He got banned for giving GTA; San Andreas two reviews in a span of a month, one rating it 4/10 for swearing and the other 9/10.
This one is probably the most infamous and for a good reason - even without Alex's constant nonstop whining about being a virgin, he posted there stuff so questionable, that I am really surprised why so many people ignore it. Now he says it was "the most interesting, intelligent, beautiful, sexy, and overall enchanting young woman" he could ever meet, he hints that her feelings were mutual to the point of "she was expressing desire for me" and he calls squeezing fucking boob "physical intimacy". I don't know about you, but usually people use this when they don't want to say "we had sex". But even that wasn't enough since 1.5 years after Alex creates yet another thread, but at least this time he isn't that delusional and it is "yeah, we kissed and I can't get over it", but still, he calls it "physical intimacy" again. - The 10 Rivals Update is basically complete; there’s only about 1 or 2 days’ worth of work left until it is 100% finished. But still, he won't upload new build.
- Alex celebrates FUCKING OSANA RELEASE and states that a bunch of his simps started basically new art contest with only losers. You can cringe at it here.
- Cutscenes are reduced to something a little more advanced than his VN prototype from 2014.
- STATS SCREEN, WOAH, TECHNOLOGY
- Now game has "A, B, C, etc" ranks, but not for completing missions, for completing ENTIRE GAME, which hints that it can be beaten in an hour or two.
- Alex claims, that testing is done and everything works fine, but considering his approach to testing... Expect hilarity. - Even though it is almost done NO RELEASE DATE, because he needs to make release video and he doesn't know how long it would take, so "somewhere in September". Until then he promises to terrorize his simps with one blurry screenshot per day.

Personally I think he may actually be telling the truth, mostly because he probably wants to just get the project finished and save some revenue (aka he definitely resorted to copy-pasting code). I think as was mentioned earlier in the thread, he just wants to get the game done, make whatever small amount of money he can from the dwindling fan base, and go dark for a while so he can have people forget about him (which is never gonna happen lol)
