That has something to do with the fact that MaskedChris (maker of the mod) has been involved with this creepypasta since 2018. (maybe earlier at that)
Something to note is that he isn't a maker of the story himself but instead just a very dedicated fan, the real maker is some kid that goes by "IceyPie" on YT, I'm not too sure if he made the creepypasta originally as a joke or not tho.
But Chris makes this clear in the description of his "Wii Deleted You" videos. (Including the video you linked)
Btw no idea what that fan made origin thing is about, didn't really want to go too deep into this rabbit hole but it's there if anyone is interested. (Keep in mind it's probably Jeff the Killer tier level stuff)

I had slept on Martian Mixtape for quite a while since I assumed they were only going to do one week, but I just found out that it got a big update with three more weeks forever ago. I'm pretty lukewarm on most of the tracks, save for Pelvic and Spinal Tap which are real standouts. Overall I really like the vibe the mod has; the music has a pretty unique sound, and there's no dialogue boxes. Also it gets extra credit for having an honest-to-God funk song in it.

The Sonic.exe mod is something else, man.

The first half of the mod looks pretty low tier with the cutscenes being especially shitty, also there may be tracing going on but idk fully.
Side note: the song is just okay not the best but fine, the voice acting in it is pretty cringer tho not too sure if it's from some fan game or what but yeah.
Now the "PC remake" part that follows it looks kind of better but at the same time it's animations look really off.
Side note: this comes from the PC remake fangame which the whole mod may be based on but it's hard to say because it still uses the original Sonic.exe for the first half which doesn't go in-line with the Pc remake so I don't really know.
Btw the song is pretty shitty, it's way too cluttered and Sonic.exe's voice just sounds weird.
After that comes the Fun is Infinite part which not only has the best song out of them all but also looks the best.
Nothing else to say about this one other then it's good but sadly no skinned Mario face.
It's all very strange and the whole mod feels like a weird anomaly.

So the mod got updated and added some new songs along with some visual enhancements although none of them improving the awful first tho but there are fan Improvement mods for it.
The last two songs of the original version updated along with a mod that remasters the first track as well.
Anyways, "You can't run" is the first one I guess that continuous the "storyline" for real, comes after the "too slow" and has Sonic turning into yet another AU exe design but for some reason this one's more important than the others.
It has a pixel art near the end of the song, the sprites look a little bit funky with Bf and Gf being the worst out of them all.
After this is "Triple Trouble" which adds some ring collecting mechanic, I watched a play through of the mod so I have no idea what happens if you get hit with or without them but either way it's just another mod gimmick.
The mod's biggest problem is how it tries too hard to be creepy with both Sonic and the three playable characters' designs (and the Fnaf 1 styled hallucination images don't help), I would compare it to how "Hypno's Lullaby" tried to do the same thing with Lost Sliver and his constantly changing edgy expressions.
Both of these fail because of how much overkill they do the trying to make a children's video game character creepy.
Sonic (who has a crystalline style design now for some reason) shows up to be a segway to switching characters, when he shows up the perspective changes which is again just another gimmick they added in to make the mod stand out.
"Faker" and "Black Sun" are both based on some random Twitter person's redesign universe thing for Sonic, Gf has a new design as well for some reason.
The first phase does the whole "faker" idea that both this redesign and the PC Port share, it's pretty neat concept and that's all I have to say about it.
And the second phase has Sonic turn into his zombie looking true form (which is really tall) along with his notes not being visible for no other reason then artificial difficulty.
The song after this is Tails Doll's and it's pretty refreshing, they could have done the big cliche with Tails Doll and tried to make him appear scarier than he actually is but they went with the route app actually putting effort and respect into the design of the track.
My only two problems with it are that Bf's sprite yet again looks pretty gnarly and the unneeded Monochrome styled part.
Before I get to my favorite part of the 2.0 update, I want to bring up the two secret additional tracks based on two most popular Sonic.exe troll games. (And I think the Sunky one was it's stand-alone mod at some point being fused into the 2.0 update which is kind of neat)
Both of them are yet again a breath of fresh air and I like how the Sanic.png one references stuff outside of the troll game itself like Gmod and the Tf2 Sanic Scout.
And to end this post off, "Chaos" pleasantly surprised me.
It's not perfect with it having Super Sonic flipping off Bf for no reason other than being edgy and how it keeps the blood splash effect on notes but it's a lot better and more respectful to the source material then I thought it was going to be, I thought it was going to reference "Nightmare Continues' " (some trashy Sonic.exe fan game) version of the character but they instead used the original comic's version which was such a good idea.
The track has a lot of attention to detail with it's starting cutscene referencing the original comic situation, with it having Porker Lewis in the foreground where BF is and it even referencing some random old sketch that PhantomArcade made of a Super Saiyan Bf along with also including the original dodging mechanic idea with how you have to dodge Super Sonic's laser eye attack (but without showing it on screen so it makes it more specials for those who actually know about the comic).
And it's just all really good and help (along with Tails Doll) make my opinion on the mod a lot less cynical.

eh............... i'll give it a 'better than jc the hyena's shit'/10. the uncanniness is fitting enough imo. to be expected when there's multiple artists working on a project. at least i think the GB page mentioned more than one artist. i'll eat my hat if i'm wrong.
first song was OK at best. the buildup was a nice idea but i feel it could have been handled better.
i'd enjoy 'execution' more if it didn't feel like Just A Mashup of 'thorns' and 'your greatest nightmare'. that's all i hear.
the sound test easter eggs were a nice touch, but i feel like there were a few too many memes. 'endless'* is a bop, but i may have a bias cuz i liked the death animation tied to it.
shame it's all attached to a shitpasta that everyone will forget again by the end of the week.
*imagine if there was an actual 'endless' mode where it gets faster every time it loops.. that'd be cool as hell IMO
i'm curious, is there anything that drew you to sunday in particular?
she strikes me as one of panzu's characters with potential, IF she had been developed beyond 'commie black girl like scremo'
