Guys...I think I may actually be starting to hate video games...

I honestly can't tell you the last time I was wowed by a AAA title.

The closest I can honestly remember was maaaaaybe Shadow of Mordor simply because I thought the Nemisis System was neat. And more so just for the sheer amount of variables it had. I barely even enjoy AAA games anymore. All my favorite games this year has been cheap indie shit off steam.

It's why I have absolutely no interest in next gen consoles and don't understand the people clamoring and overpaying for them.

Western AAA gaming has become a shitshow for the most part. I see why more people are claiming their preference for Japanese-developing games.

Man this looks like shit. Every single western game dev is hell bent on appealing to the twitter mob. And western gamers are hell bent on opening their wallets to fund this garbage.

You know what? Fuck it. Fuck gaming in #current year. It's all woke garbage now, just like all western media. I'mma go sell my gaming PC parts for $$$$ and play PS1 games on an emulator.

Last AAA game I had genuine fun with was probably Watch Dogs 1 back in 2014. Just Cause 3 turned out to be a buggy B-team devved mess, and I only bought GR Wildlands recently because it was on sale.

Guess I'll post it here too since no one else mentioned it.

SR3 is free right now: https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/p/saints-row-the-third-remastered
PC Port is still dogshit. Or perhaps I am referring to 2. Also, 3rd is arguably the weakest of the series.

Please no, FGO is a shitshow and most games are being made for mobile.

Would it be a bad thing to say that I bought Ghost of Tsushima on a physical disc as my very few AAA purchase?

I knew TheProfessional would be upset. he was hyped for an actual GTA competitor just a few days ago talking about it.

He brings up a good point. They're clearly going after a Fortnite demo. Fucking children. Is this going to be M rated cause if so WTF?
I was excited too with The Professional.

I can't quite explain it, but there's something with zoomer culture coupled with corporate diversity that just screams hollow. That style of humor is obnoxious. Cringe.

I don't want to see social media behavioral tropes in media when I witness that every damn day. Even worse, it's soulless writing of how their target audience acts. And they eat it up.

Reboots rarely work in today's society because of that catering to a social media homogenized society. It's distractingly shallow in practice as it is in reality.

I'm sorry, I'm just downright disappointed in the direction entertainment is going in almost every aspect. Video games are suffering more because of the need to monetize every aspect for a short attention span audience.

Ghost of Tsushima was good, but I wasn't wowed by it.

Edit: I should give Ghost more credit though. It was probably the only Sony game this gen that I enjoyed at all.
