Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

He’s not going to war. Our allies are rightfully disgusted with us. With him at the helm, they aren’t going to even consider committing troops.

His incompetence has also been shown clearly to the country. Nobody thinks he’s competent to lead the withdrawal, much less a war. He wouldn’t survive the backlash.

So, he’s going to be the piece of shit he’s always been and leave Americans and our allies to their fate and try to sweep all of this under the rug.

Perceived by whom though? If China recognizes them, that's enough for them to start. The UN isn't going to call China or Russia rogue states over Afghanistan (or even over the Coof). They will get their seat at the UN if a near peer backs them, regardless of whether the US approves. IF America is declining, which I think it is, they'd want recognition from a rising power, not one in which they're already at war with.
