You can't fully control how a virus will act when in the wild.ok maybe this is a stupid question

Things have gotten so weird, there are definitely two Americas at this point. I was at this show two weeks ago:Good news and bad news in my state:
- Good news is the concert was not cancelled, there were probably 300 people there, and once we were inside no one wore masks except the absolute nerdiest motherfuckers. Like unioronic blue hairs and girls dressed like anime schoolgirls were the only ones masked. The workers were total Nazis on the way in but lost the battle quickly. It was almost like old times, everyone crammed in, jumping around and having a good time. Based stuff.
- Bad news, the local fall festivals are being canceled. Not by the city or anything, but the fucking people running them. It's the biggest pussy move I've ever seen. One organization already took money for a sports tournament and announced you can either "donate" your registration fees OR get 20% back. Fucking scam alert!
The local fair is still going on and I intend to go, even if they try to enforce masks. I just won't wear one. I encourage everyone to participate in local events, it shows that there's money to be made and people are still willing and excited to have things to do. Go to your fairs, concerts, bars and restaurants. We need to prove there's more of us out there by being seen. Do not wear a mask, have a good time, ignore the forced doom and gloom.

Judge tells drug suspect he can avoid prison time by getting vaccinated

What.
Now you can't even sneeze or cough in public without getting stares. It's ridiculous.Things have gotten so weird, there are definitely two Americas at this point. I was at this show two weeks ago:

Not a mask in sight. And yet somehow bodies aren't piling up in the streets. But if you go to the grocery stores in the same city 100% of people have the face diaper on eyeing each other with suspicion and fear. It's utterly bizarre.
I mean like how even in California you'll find county sheriffs who just say "fuck this shit, we don't care" and people won't wear masks. I've heard it's like that in Oregon outside of Portland, Eastern Washington, most of Upstate New York, etc.Except that the places with the worst mandates are filled with true believers and ready and eager collaborators. I don't even think the absolute worst will change their minds because of pride and they feel the undesirables would finally be dealt with.
Hopefully never, I'd rather anyone who kills themselves over the vaccine make it a murder-suicide.How long before we hear of people just killing themselves to avoid being forced to take the vaccine and going through things like lockdowns and checkpoints?
Are you implying going out and doing things without a mask/vax will lead to checkpoints or that they already exist so you can't do anything anyway? Because the vast majority of the US has no vax requirements for anything. I'm in a blue state and not even the grocery stores are requiring anything. The only hellholes where you need to show proof are big liberal cities. If you live in one, God bless you, you're gonna need it. COVID would be the least of my worries, I'd be focused on getting out.And then you hear about the checkpoints of requiring vaccinations or negative tests.
A vaccine that fundamentally alters how people live, along with a scamdemic which does the same is way more effective. A virus could kill indiscriminately. A vaccine where its easy to give placebos to those deemed necessary to live is safer for those planning it.ok maybe this is a stupid question

How long before we reach that point do you think?Hopefully never, I'd rather anyone who kills themselves over the vaccine make it a murder-suicide.
I can confirm, in most of the non-NYC parts of New York, most people have just stopped caring. 1/10 up to 3/10 of people will wear masks depending, but for the most part things are "back to normal" excepy for things like school mandates and the like.I mean like how even in California you'll find county sheriffs who just say "fuck this shit, we don't care" and people won't wear masks. I've heard it's like that in Oregon outside of Portland, Eastern Washington, most of Upstate New York, etc.

I live in a hellhole and people only care as much as the gestapo forces them to.I mean like how even in California you'll find county sheriffs who just say "fuck this shit, we don't care" and people won't wear masks. How long they'll be able to control chaos before it goes out of control? They want controlled chaos they can control, not actual chaos.
Rapper Kanye West is many, many, many things, but a conformist he most certainly is not.
The entertainer is holding a second listening party for his forthcoming album, “Donda,” named for his late mother, and while the music world is mostly abuzz with the apparent delay of the album’s formal release, the event has captured headlines for a different reason.
And no, it’s not the reported replica of his childhood home that’s been constructed in Chicago’s Soldier Field for the occasion, although that’s got tongues wagging, too, as the New York Post reported.
The venue will not be requiring fans to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to attend.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, protocols at Soldier Field will be in line with city of Chicago rules that require masks “in all public indoor spaces (clubs, suite hallways, elevators, etc.) of the stadium except while actively eating and drinking.” Masks in outdoor areas are optional, but recommended for those who are not vaccinated.
Panic. Uncontrolled riots. Work refusal.ok maybe this is a stupid question

Whenever they start cracking down on major corporations for not enforcing vaccine passports hard enough, since the wagie at the door of the grocery store will almost always not give a fuck. People kill over food. Either that, or when people start getting massive insurance hikes or other fines for not taking the vaxx--that'll probably come before they go door to door vaxxing people (Twitter and Reddit apparently want that, and I'd love to see them try). How long before we reach that point do you think?
Eh, from what I’ve heard the corporations will be fine. I heard when lockdowns were at their peak, Amazon saw record profits, so we’re more likely to see Demolition Man become reality.Whenever they start cracking down on major corporations for not enforcing vaccine passports hard enough, since the wagie at the door of the grocery store will almost always not give a fuck. Although Australia is looking like it's headed that way if they keep it up much longer, since they failed to follow the frog-boiling strategy the rest of the world is using, they've decided they can go from "mild" authoritarianism to hardcore totalitarianism in an instant. It's easier to shift the goalposts from "just two weeks" to "just wear a mask" to "just take the vaccine" to "just wear two masks, take a booster shot every 4 months, and present your vaccine papers" and leave your ineffectual opponents like the average Republican politician constantly swatting at the latest decrees from The Science rather than calling out the pandemic as absolute nonsense.
I'm excited to see where they go next. I wonder if the mass firings from vaccine mandates will mean they'll try and draw down the stay on evictions and other scamdemic welfare measures that for whatever reason still persist? Because it's going to be hilarious to see these major corporations squirm from having even less workers, and doubly hilarious if the clowns in the White House decides the best way to give those corporations their workers is to turn out the deadbeats from their eviction stay in December as a Christmas gift. I could honestly see this administration doing that, they are torn between countless interest groups who all seem equally exceptional that they might not raise a finger when the Supreme Court starts hearing cases again in October, or not raise a finger for long.
I want a damn good rat burger, what a lot of people don't know is that "demolition man" is based on a book written by aEh, from what I’ve heard the corporations will be fine. I heard when lockdowns were at their peak, Amazon saw record profits, so we’re more likely to see Demolition Man become reality.
You leave Eugene or Portland and it's like none of it is happening. No BLM signs, no rainbow flags, no masks.I've heard it's like that in Oregon outside of Portland, Eastern Washington, most of Upstate New York, etc.
Do you know the name of this book? Maybe you're confusing something else with this:what a lot of people don't know is that "demolition man" is based on a book written by a polish author and his experience with communism
Wikipedia said:Hungarian science fiction writer István Nemere says that most of Demolition Man is based on his novel Holtak harca (Fight of the Dead), published in 1986. In the novel, a terrorist and his enemy, a counter-terrorism soldier, are cryogenically frozen and awakened in the 22nd century to find violence has been purged from society. Nemere claimed that a copyright office committee judged that the film was a 75% match to the book. He did not file a lawsuit, as it would have been too expensive for him to hire a lawyer and fight against major Hollywood forces in the United States.
i dont see people really rising up in Australia, when they get to the point where a cop/judge or his family gets shot in the head in broad daylight and no one saw who did it like the mob used to be able to do then you can start to worry about an uprising.Whenever they start cracking down on major corporations for not enforcing vaccine passports hard enough, since the wagie at the door of the grocery store will almost always not give a fuck.
