Wuhan Coronavirus: Megathread - Got too big

Eh, from what I’ve heard the corporations will be fine. I heard when lockdowns were at their peak, Amazon saw record profits, so we’re more likely to see Demolition Man become reality.
Not when The Experts start getting mad that the 90 year old grandpas and 18 year old wagies in the front of Walmart and Publix aren't checking vaccine passports. That means grandpa and the wagies have to start screaming about vaccine passports to everyone waiting in line to get in. That means people stop getting food. That means the violence won't be limited to just be Tyrone cappin' a nigga when KFCs in New York City demand to show his vaccine passport.

Two major forces are staring each other down, and right now, the one blinking is the State, the unelected Public Health Experts, and major corporations. Yes, it's "good enough" for them as it is, but Pharma bosses are fucking seething like a pack of Redditors everytime they see the vaccination numbers aren't as high as they want. There's too many loopholes being exploited, and it wouldn't surprise me if they never close them because it's too much effort to. I mean you're the one who has to live in anxiety of whether or not the grocery store wagies will bother enforcing their mask policy or check your vaccine passport.

I want a damn good rat burger, what a lot of people don't know is that "demolition man" is based on a book written by a polish author and his experience with communism, that's why even the movie seems to have "called it" so damn well, as it's something that has already happened before.
A good chunk of high school students in the US have read "Brave New World." It's not exactly an obscure reference. Sandra Bullock's character is even named Lenina Huxley as a nod to the author and the main female protagonist.

Found on Facebook: Can someone tell me what this bullshit means? I know it is suppose to mean something about masks and vaccines, but “personal liberties” also refers to political and social norms, so I can just say “fuck off” right? Yeah, I already did.

I see a lot of these coming from liberal Christians on my social media feed. It's all coming off the idea that Christians are supposed to sacrifice everything for others... even as Christ sacrificed everything including his life... so we should get the shot or give up freedom for others, not ourselves.

If you wanna cherry pick some religious concepts to support your position, I prefer the ones about tipping tables and being wise as snakes.

Just wait. They'll be demanded to 'sacrifice' their religion as well if it hasn't already happened. Trust the science™️.

You just point out that Jesus sacrificed for his bros, and not Judas. He doesn't do it for just anybody.

It means his understanding of Jesus is a selfless hippy. The answer isn't just "do the nice thing because it's the good thing because it's the nice thing." According to the CDC, only 30,500 people from age 0–49 died from covid from January 2020 to now.
Provisional Death Counts for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
Screenshot_20210823-163817_Chrome.jpg
There were only 10,500 deaths from COVID in the 0–39 age range, and only twice that in 40–49. So from 0–49, 30,500 COVID deaths total.
Like any educated Jew disputing halakha, Jesus would want to know more about the facts, the stakeholders and the moral obligation to community on which the mandate rests, such as:
  1. is there any benefit at the individual level in ages 0–49, when there have been so few deaths,
  2. is there a benefit to the vulnerable in the 'herd' for every non-vulnerable person getting the shot, and if so, is that benefit actually infinitesimal, and perhaps speculative
  3. if the deaths or debilating side effects from the "vaccine" are worth it to anyone 0–49, because there have been so few deaths,
  4. Jews are supposed to preserve life wherever possible, and thus if the deaths or debilitation from the covid shot meet or reach 30,500, the medicine is responsible for as many lives as the disease, and so what ruling can be said to preserve life when the medicine is as deadly as the disease for younger age groups,
  5. If the argument is the young must risk death for the old and vulnerable because of a religious commitment to community, then in the face of a "vaccine" that maims or kills, the reverse happens: the old must risk death for the young.
  6. There is no socialized medicine in America, so the nation has declared that neither the government nor the taxpayer owe their fellow citizens any healthcare. The electorate, including the devout, cared nothing for their neighbors and their physical and mental health struggles and pre-existing conditions, so on what grounds can they obligate anyone for their healthcare? To expect something for nothing like that is exploitation. And they have the audacity to stand on a religious soapbox and demand compliance in the name of saving lives, meanwhile overdoses, suicides, mental illness, homelessness and poverty abound, and they've turned their eyes and plugged their ears to it. How is it wrong now that they're on the receiving end.

is anyone else getting sick of people not understanding this: If the vaccines work, why are you so terrified of people who've not had them?

I don't think I can remember this level of chimping out ever over the flu every winter, and loads of old and fat people succumb to that. Nobody cared. And 6 years back when I got the flu and was ill for a couple of months after with post viral syndrome, my GP told me that's what happened sometimes, and it was rough, but to just get on with it as best as I could, as going to work and making sure I stuck to a routine would be more helpful than signing me off sick and a potential slide into depression/definite slide into money worries.

People don't even lose their heads over the flu vaccine and people who've not had it, so I can't understand 1. Why the hysteria now and 2. How people are so fucking stupid they can't see the discrepancy in their behaviour.

If you've been vaccinated, and the vaccines work, why are you so terrified? Get signed up to your 6 monthly pfizer sibscription, and stop being such a pussy already, and accept that, at this point, the narrative is crumbling and you're one of the last to realise it.

That reminds me of how the NIH included depression and anxiety in their list of "long COVID" symptoms. Apparently the trauma some easily influenced person got from getting a disease that was hyped by a year of non-stop psychological assault from the media with death counters included in the corner is totally the virus's biological machinations, and not just a symptom of mass psychosis. You got the virus, recovered, and now you lost your job due to lockdowns? That anxiety is definitely from the virus messing with the brain, not you worrying about your bills.

How people can read this and not ask questions is totally beyond me. How stupid you have to be to not get it is unfathomable.

Also, if we're on the subject of meds and vaccines subscriptions, prescriptions for ADs and antianxiety meds are through the roof. Again, lining the pockets of pharmaceutical companies.

People are depressed because for over a year and a half, life has ground to a halt over a virus with an above 99% survival rate, Relationships have failed, jobs lost, incomes plummeted, welfare claims skyrocketed, families torn apart, suicides through the roof, a whole generation of state school kids failed, their prospects ass raped. Medical treatment for anything non-coof deferred forever, dentists shut, dental issues and emergencies increased, communities torn asunder.

But no. You're definately not depressed because of any of those things. You're depressed because you caught OMGWTFBBQLITERALAIRBORNEEBOLAAIDS and you survived.

Honest to fucking god. How petulant and ungrateful, you caught THE BIGGEST THREAT TO 1% OF HUMAN BEINGS EVER and you survived and you're sad? If you believe it's LITERALLY GOING TO KILL US ALL and you can't understand how lucky you are, you're a literal retard.

Edited to say: I am more convinced than ever that the people losing their shit over "catching" a virus with an above 99% survival rate are massively egotistical shits, the kind of people whose parents replaced their goldfish or hamster whenever it died because it was "too hard" to have the talk about death.

You cannot vaccinate for everything. You will get ill in your life. Stop being such a coddled, spoiled little cunt that you expect to go through life without experiencing this. And stop expecting people to take a vaccine using technology never used before on humans, in 3rd stage trials, whose fucking inventor says it should never be used on people because you're a complete pussy about getting sick.

And if people are worried about their oldiewonk parents because their hospitals are managed by literal spastics, perhaps they should, I don't know, complain to the spastics running the hospitals? Instead of demanding society shut down and people take aforementioned vaccines and chimping out because people don't want to take them.

Jesus fucking christ, never has society been held hostage for so long by people with so little intellectual capacity for asking questions.

I have a question to Kiwis that have some legal knowledge. Theoretically if you apply for a medical exemption and it gets denied, can you apply for a religious exemption afterwards, or it's more 'either... or' scenario?

You could ask for both, maybe? Nothing to say you can't be medically exempt and have a religion which prohibits getting the vaccines? Best cover your butt and all.

Also unrelated but I do love the gorilla in your picture, he always makes me smile :)

I rarely post on social media, but I've been posting things such as pics related recently in an effort to push back against the vaxfags in a way none of them can sperg about without looking like total retards.

I find that with most people when talked to individually without the threat of the mob hearing their words, will admit they think the vaccines are a bunch of bullshit, even a lot of the vaxfags.

Anyone noticed how the last year has completely buried all talk about gun control? Guess the politicians think it would be too om the nose to demand your guns while also denying your freedoms the next sentence.
well there was some talk after the successful version of randy stair but it died out relatively quickly
