Normally you'd want to braise short ribs that fatty so that most of the fat would render off. But that's not the type of cut of short ribs that you would braise. Nor do I think that Jack even knows how to braise - I can't think of a single recipe off the top of my head that Jack has done that involves a braise.

On the topic of cooking bacon. I find it comes out best if you dredge the bacon in a flour/pepper mixture then cook it in the oven at 350. Nice crispy non curled up bacon.

I do 425 and no flour. Turns out crispy and doesn't come out curled up.

Pretty sure that horrible cupcake video was weeks, if not months old; back when he was still pretending to diet and back when this thread was pointing out that he wasn't following the diet at all.

This video was made for two reasons: the first is because Fat Jack was desperate to eat more sweets at the time.
