He mentioned a YouTuber who is dark skinned who said she makes a point of appearing with feminine clothes etc when on camera because she thinks she will be perceived as masculine because of her dark skin. Which, whatever, maybe she does feel that way. But Olly extrapolates from that that it’s the same problem for troons. He says they have to remain thin lest they be perceived as masculine. I just think it’s amazing how an avowed (white) leftist trys to equate himself with blacks.

real woman" is just equating womanhood with femininity to make a dig at the latter. Same energy as calling a guy who doesn't lift "not a
real man" — it's a comment about his masculinity, not his actual, literal maleness. A kicking out of the Real Men's Club, an attempt to shame him into doing masculinity "right."
But masculinity and maleness aren't the same. Neither are femininity and femaleness. Manhood and womanhood exist somewhere in the murky in-between, in a tug of war between between (typically) social conservatives saying that all real women are feminine, and feminists arguing that female people are real women even if they eschew femininity. (More often than not in these language wars, "real" means "legitimate according to me.") Progressives
should hold that all females are women and femininity is bunk. But here we go conflating femininity with womanhood all over again.
When black women say they work hard to be viewed as feminine, it's because they want to be seen as desirable by men, and to be treated by other women with the respect that perception affords. They know they're LITERALLY WOMEN. That's not the problem. The problem is that women are put down by both men and women for being "masculine," and many streams of cultural and historical fuckery have converged to declare black women "masculine" as a group. There's being a woman, and then there's being recognized as a
valuable woman. Femininity continues to be one of the most powerful determinants of a woman's value per general social consensus, so of course it's something many women chase, especially if it's been denied to them. But that's the thing: this is a women's game. Only women play by rules that make their lives better, sweeter, easier if they're perceived as more feminine. The fact that black women are forced to play this game is MANIFEST PROOF OF THEIR FEMALENESS AND WOMANHOOD.
Trans women are in a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PLACE. They're striving to be perceived as FEMALE. Some are already "feminine," but they begin transition as feminine
males. Doing femininity harder doesn't help a

Hunter Schafer can walk down the street in a big ass jacket and look believably woman-like because she's worked hard on her body. Hari Nef can wear a hyperfeminine dress and still look a bit wrong (i.e. not visually female) because her torso area — the ribcage and the waist — is thick proportional to the rest of her body in a way that usually only appears in men. In general, men's torsos are bigger and broader than women's, so if you're a trans woman who wants to pass, yes — it makes sense to reduce the fat and muscle that lays on top of your bones, adding volume where it wouldn't be on a woman. It's not fatphobia. Just doing what you can to fudge the rules of sexual dimorphism.
When black women and fat women feel they aren't treated like women, it's because they're perceived as
insufficiently feminine. When trans women feel they aren't treated like women, it's because they're perceived as
not female. These are two completely different struggles with completely different solutions, given that the goal is membership in the exclusive Real Women (According to Society™) Club. No natural-born woman who feels insufficiently feminine has to deal with fundamentally male bones.
What kind of philosopher doesn't see this? Only one who doesn't think. Or one who doesn't believe enough in the soundness of their own struggle to let it stand on its own. Fucking roping in black women whenever you can to make them serve as your shield is some scummy, cynical, genuinely racist shit, and only an ego the size of Jupiter would double down on this kind of tokenizing disrespect after being criticized for it back in February.

Ok I was on the fence about the snl825 account being Olly's burner but now I'm convinced that it is. The second time Olly was facing backlash was on February 11th for the above tweet where he compared black and asian women to men in dresses. That very same day the snl825 account started getting in Twitter arguments defending Olly as if their life depended on it. Snl825 tweeted about
