Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? As his mental situation deteriorates, his ability to maintain a cohesive narrative in his head for why he's taking order fails. This requires constant reinforcement of the idea by his handlers, who have to increasingly drill it in him that he is subservient to them. The problem is that the situation means he, by necessity, has to believe this is Normal and so he mentions it more and more.

As much as I agree that Biden sucks, I DO NOT want him assassinated. The damn optics would be through the roof as MAGA, Trump supporters, and Conservatives would all be blamed for it. Then the 2nd amendment would be questioned again. The DNC would make people sympathize with Biden because the general public wouldnt want to be seen with a "party who assassinates people." It would honestly be a win for Dems if Biden were to be killed.

He gets impeached but the senate doesn't convict it will look like the Democrats are a law unto themselves and if he gets 25th'd it will open a can of worms. At this point they have realized , just as the Biden faction has, that polls are irrelevant. Polls don't generate fealty or change outcomes. I would say their absence confirms certain suppositions and to them those are more terrifying than any negative poll results.
