Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

At least the WaPo is carrying the story.

Lets compare deaths

Beau...died in a medical facility surrounded by caregivers and loved ones.

11 marines, 1 navy medic, 1 army soldier were blown apart by an IED in a foreign country surrounded by Afghans. I'd wager that a fair number of them have to have closed caskets funerals because of the amount of missing limbs / fucked up faces they have due to a literal bomb going off within 10feet of them.

Joe Biden your story of your dead son that spent time in the military as a lawyer is not the same as being blown apart by a suicide bomber you incomparable moron.
Wait is he actually trying to use Beau's death for sympathy despite his son not dieing in combat. Good lord

They're not hanging, they're alive and on a harness.

No one is sure why they're doing this, my guess is, for the laughs. Imagine living in a desert all of your life and your friend says "ere, abdul, i've got this 'ere 'elicopter, fancy flyin' 'round like peter pan?" Who could say no?

Either that or it's the talibans version of air reconnaissance. Stick old aktar on a bit of string, give a smart phone and dangling from a helicopter. "Allah be praised, we have aerial cameras now!"

Why do these people talk like that? Is it a forum rule or something that they're not allowed to curse? That's super gay otherwise, you guys aren't 12, you can say fuck you know.
FARK is a dead gay lolcow website that was last relevant in 2005. It's like a neolib boomer time capsule.
We had a thread on it, but it's inactive.
The Taliban is getting more based by the hour.

If we had been out by May 1 - not on May 1, preferably long gone by then - we would not have left behind all that equipment and information to the Taliban.

We would've taken what we could, and either destroyed what we couldn't take or made sure it was in the hands of the Afghan military.

If we had left like that, the Afghan military would not have gotten whiplash from sudden abandonment by the USA and maybe would've fought harder, using the equipment we left behind for them.

It would not have gone this way. If the Taliban did eventually take Kabul and Afghanistan as a whole, it would not have been as quick and it would've been more easily blamed on the Afghans. 13 US soldiers would not be dead.

This would not have happened under Trump.

By and large, the equipment is ANSDF stuff and they just didn't fight back with it. The Afghans were never going to stop the Taliban. The army was always made up of the most ill disciplined actual retards in the area and at no point were they tasked with anything important when working with Americans.
The only surprise is how they didn't fight at all and abandoned post, for the most part. Even the Taliban said it was unexpected.

Not that it matters, but I blame the ANSDF leadership most of all for how quickly things crumbled, but none of it is surprising. The shock stems from our own leaders.

That said, this would not have happened under Trump. The ANA would have crumbled but it'd be their problem, not ours.

I'm pretty sure the mass amount of equipment came from the ANA not America. They probably would have got most of the equipment either way, even if it was American as well. The intel is another story though.

Not just you, I've noticed it a lot too. I drink a lot of milk (fuck off), always 2%, and have noticed it getting thinner and thinner lately close to skim, even though it's the same brand - price has went up over $1 per gallon though. Same with apple juice, even the not from concentrate stuff, price increase but tastes different. Shit is even getting changed in stuff like pet food, I buy the same dry dog food for my large dogs that I always have and recently it's been affecting their digestive health so I had to stop using that brand - checked the ingredients list and they're using a lot more useless scrap type shit like corn than they used to and a lot less meat or premium vegetables (dogs really can't process corn well). I'm sure that on some level a lot of these issues are just companies trying scummy ways to recoup profits they lost during coofmania but at the same time it's very across the board and includes a lot of products that really shouldn't have been so affected in such a way.
I'll posit that it's just a lower grade to try and cut costs on the food at least. Watering down could get them in trouble. Switching to the shittier supplier will not.

Looks like /pol/ finally found their helicopter rides.

I'm surprised there aren't crayons on that desk. It looks like what you'd have in a kindergarten class.
I was looking at that binder and it was one page of information. Like what an elementary schooler would write for an "essay". I bet you the other pages are empty.
