Spergery incoming: ironically, this is similar to what put me off Disney Wars, and I was a big Star Wars fan before. Instead of having a good story and characters we like, characters who change over time as they learn new things about the galaxy and survive their adventures, we got goodies and baddies blasting at each other for all eternity with no interesting characters or resolutions, so they could sell theme park tickets, over and over again, forever.
Bob's incredibly shallow worldview has a lot in common with J. J. Abrams's and Chris Terrio's incredibly shallow writing.

What's ironic is that the Left is almost entirely opposed to the Death Penalty in general (at least for murderers caught by police and tried and convicted in courts) and while I forget if I ever saw Movieblob's take on the Death Penalty (though as Bob is someone who grew up Catholic, and Catholicism takes a dim view of the Death Penalty as far as I know from Catholics I have hung out with), it wouldn't surprise me if he was against it, in the purely judicial sense, not the extra-judicial sense of minecrafting political opponents. While I get wanting to be able to permanently stop people who would actually harm or kill someone for being "born wrong", Bob and his ilk have strawmanned the entire center-right and lumped them in with the Far Right in classic fallacious "Guilt by Association".

2) about 3 million SA members, who are very willing to start a revolution and who have just been given an excuse to do that,
3) about 125,000 Rotfront members, who are not very happy that Bruning is a conservative and has just cut unemployment benefits during the middle of a recession,
4) various right-wing industrialists (people like Hugenberg) who feel the government is being far too soft on socialism and who have a lot of support from the Army.
Let's be optimistic and pretend that Bruning somehow managed to win over the DNVP. Even then, he has to fight far more heavily armed versions of the Spartacist uprising and the Kapp Putsch at the same time, and his version of the Freikorps (the Reichbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold) probably isn't that happy that it's fighting for a government that wants the Kaiser back. Even if alien space bats came down and fought for Bruning's government, the most liberal thing it could do would be to restore the Kaiser as a constitutional monarch and shoot everyone associated with the KPD or Nazis. If the closest thing to a liberal democracy you can get in your country is a dictatorship which purges anyone that looks at it funny, it's safe to say that liberal democracy's goose is well and truly cooked.
