Yeah I love how they are saying this site primarily targets non whites, non males, non cis to try and make kf sound like its some ultra scary place that hunts people down based on their identity politics classifications.

You could make an argument that reddit and twitter are the very things they are complaining about. On this site its all equal opportunity mockery. We have a dream that one day we will live in an internet where cows are judged not by the colour of their profile pics, but by the autism of their posts.

This is how I feel about the situation too. Last time I was there, it was full of boomer memes about how taking the vaccine is going to cause your nuts to fall off and your stomach to turn inside out. The place is basically a worse version of r/lockdownskepticism, which has stricter moderation policies to prevent the schizos from getting through. On your second point, if I didn't hold the belief that taking sides in this shitfest is a waste of time, I'd be supporting r/NoNewNormal. Given how I feel about them, that's kind of sad.

I mean you're technically correct, but it's just easier to say the actual result; trump support is banned. Maybe not de jure, but certainly de facto.

Sure and each time it will also remove some of the people as a good 20-30% leaves after each ban and a larger percentage decides not to post about certain topics again.

I think you got things by the right end more or less, but are still giving too much credit still to them acting with some sort of normality (even if you don't give them much credit at all).

Not familiar with Reddit internals. What exactly is the function of those jannies moderating several hundred largest subreddits? I can't imagine you can do anything useful at that scale. How the hell do you even become one?

You run a influencing/propaganda campaign with that position, were talking accepting bribes large enough to live in a upper middle income home comfortably. Reddit may not pay you, but plenty of political and business organizations are happy to.

They have effectively helped turn the place in to the cesspit that it is. It's not that they have no influence over it. They're only allowed to run it because, as dysfunctional as they are, they mod (for free) in a way the (((owners))) of reddit are comfortable with. These owners care more about it being sterile (of wrongthink) than it being anything of value. They would rather reddit die slowly than let it provide a different framing of reality especially to the youth who browse places like it. They kicked in to gear in this regard after 2016.

It's almost like these people are parasites. They don't care about truth or quality or providing value or anything more than their ability to continue to feed. And, when there's nothing more to eat, it would endanger them to leave the host in a state where they were able to take vengeance. Injecting a bunch of third worlders then inducing a nice civil conflict will tire people out right proper and make rebuilding (like Germany was capable of) a much less threatening process.
