I don't know much about fursuits, but how do you give one away? Just looking at pictures in this thread, it looks like something that would have to be custom fitted to the individual.
For ones like this, it gets made to be a one size fits all like adult hats and gloves. Usually about a medium, unless they know their audience is kids/women.
People who care about fit and sizing are the ones who also care enough to design their own characters, and usually don't own more than one or two unless they themselves craft it. Furries who don't care enter raffles like this one or buy cheap/secondhand ones, usually hoard, and then sell them when they get bored/break it/suddenly need money.
Expect them to put up a lot of pictures of half-frozen, freshly-sheared alpacas on their twitter, describing them as "happy", with no mention of the mass casualties.

To separate the animals by sex would mean to invalidate the queerness of alpacas and the trancheros hate to acknowledge the reality of sexual dimorphism in mammals almost as much as they hate the fash or regular bathing. Think about how many lambs they had 1. unexpectedly and 2. "abandoned" by their mothers. They are TERRIBLE ranchers, but their main product is the half-assed illusion of a ranch for those even more clueless than they. It's truly a grift at the cost of the poor animals. While Bonnie and Kevvie plan out an oh-so necessary littles room, the animals starve on their cheap donated unfortified dirty hay.

The answer is no and I don't think they thought any further than "lets get them fixed oh no that's too much money." If not, they're still running on the thought that grass grows on the farm and that their ranch will prosper again, we just need more alpacas for more wool, dammit! They won't die, we're tenacious!
Or they know it but ignore it by binge drinking like Bonnie since the solution to their problems is to sell everything and admit they fucked up to themselves and the outside world. Even changing to sheep would be a fuck up for them, not even going into the embarrassment of trying to get rid of the alpacas.
All correct. Also, you don't shear every animal every year. A two-birther, for example, puts more resources into milk, so you skip a year with that one. And if none of them are producing quality wool, give them time. And fucking feed them better!
They clearly have no fresh grass left (whatever green remains on their plot was identified by KF as non-edible), so they must rely on hay and other dry feed. Which means they have to supply a lot of fresh water- I wonder if their well can produce it after a dry summer.
And that is another on the growing list of question marks: since they brand themselves as an alpaca rescue, shouldn't they be concentrating on adopting alpacas from less fortunate farmers which have to get rid of them, rather than produce new ones?

What's weird about it is that it was only made this month, and is almost exclusively followed by those in the above linked photo and a few related to the suit maker.
He only follows those people from the photo+popular vocal-about-the-greaness-of-the-con furries and his suit maker/their closest friends. Speficially, his first 3 follows were Furry News Network, Suit Maker, and Suit Winner.
He is also the only person in the above photo to have his face fully covered (fursuit head) and appears to be the oldest person there.

You don't get a mask like that being a "new" furry. Between his build, mask, refusal to show his face, hanging out with a way younger crowd, and the fresh twitter account based around the suit he just bought, it's very likely this dude burned his previous furry social group/was burned due to degeneracy involving the big two (kids/animals), and is hiding his real furry social identity.
My tinfoil hat says this is a plant that went and found a good PR ftm for the con, ash, and the tranchers to give the charity fursuit to- given the timeline from making account to buying suit to befriending/following suit winner to suit winner getting said charity suit.
There's one maker who does these types of half masks for LARP stuff.
There's probably someone else who does something similar, but this is probably the biggest maker who does. Don't see any lions recently, so it could be an old one or a custom commission.
