YMMV and this is coming from a Brit, so it may not be the case in America.
However, I have noticed some products aren't as 'strong' as they used to be, as if they were being watered down. Orange and Apple juice (which Tesco, Aldi and Morrisons seem to be struggling to keep in stock) have all got a very mild taste vs 4 months ago. When i find a product i like, i stick to it. Tesco OJ, Aldi Apple juice and milk, for example.
Another example is washing up liquid, even the 'double-strength' stuff, is very, very watery compared to normal.
I don't know if it's just me, a coincidence or if the companies are trying to keep up with shortages/inflation by watering down their products.
If they are, this could be another way to 'raise' prices while not raising prices, almost like shrinkflation but diluteflation.
