The evidence for this has long been deleted so I don’t really have anything to back up this claim, but back in the day it was pretty much confirmed that supermod(s) from AgainstHateSubreddits and/or FragileWhiteRedditor were falseflag spamming CP on sockpuppet accounts in an attempt to get le racist chud subreddits b&. I wish I had an archive of the post about it but didn’t have the foresight to save it. This was a pretty common occurrence, brand new accounts showing up on right-leaning subreddits to post “gee I sure do hate them negroids, 1498 heil hortler gas the bikes race car now, amirite fellow racists?”

There genuinely is a cabal of “””default moderators””” who control almost all of the most popular subplebbits, featuring such renowned gigafaggots as n8thegr8, Bardfinn, dubteedub, and so on. These people are living personifications of the modern internet’s decline. N8thegr8 is probably the biggest loser of them all, often doing stupid shit and then playing the “lul I was only pretending to be retarded XD” card. Like when he posted about how “mayos don’t deserve rights” etc before sperging out and saying it was a “social experiment.” Picture a jewish mod going through images of users to confirm that they’re black so they can post in “country club mode” on your subreddit lmao, it’s so absurd.

Tranny jannies are like the reverse Midas, everything they touch turns to shite.

Making the site unusable = decreased ad impressions = less $$$ = mad boss = :(
Even 30 minutes of site downtime causes chaos and large loss of money in large websites. This is why planned downtime (even for a few minutes) is announced weeks or months ahead of time and done at midnight.

Also I am pretty sure nobody, not even Reddit employees, enjoys dealing with these people. And the hilarity of non-employee volunteers threatening to "shut down the site." Do these people even realize that admins could reopen the subs and permanently ban or even ip ban their accounts and they would not be able to do anything about it?

Can you imagine? The usual uproar about any little site change you get from people whose cheese was moved, except they can declare it a microaggression and cause a user revolt about it?

Devs must hate these people.

My guess is that Bardfinn was part of these leaked chats, just under a new alias and a new Discord account we haven't connected to him yet. We know that Bardfinn uses sockpuppets and throw-away accounts because he himself admitted to doing so. Bardfinn uses RES (Reddit Enhancement Suite) to browse Reddit for the very reason that RES allows him to register and switch amongst multiple sockpuppet accounts while infiltrating subreddits that have already pre-emptively banned him.

I would just like to point out the irony of having a Youtube tab open for Neon Genesis Evangelion. The whole point of every piece of media produced for NGE is that the abundance of escapism and being too zealous in your beliefs will negatively affect the world around you. You know, two things Steven has zero control over. Hideaki Anno wrote the original anime while he was balls deep into a depressive spiral and as a result, it is a personal view through the lens of a depressed man with no hope.

Also, the robots are more of a woman than Steven will ever be. That's all.

It wouldn’t be so infuriatingly annoying if they weren’t so smug and self righteous about it. If they were just assholes who said they hate that shit and enjoy getting things banned. It would still be gross but less MATI for me to read. It’s just something how they legitimately think they are good people crusading for everything good and right. It’s like snooty teacher talking over you because she enjoys the control. Not because she cares what is or isn’t right. They don’t want to have a conversation. They just enjoy being jannies BECAUSE they get to ban people. They don’t care about the actual content of their communities. They just like being the ones who decide the narrative. If not for the ban function they would have no interest in doing this. I hate Reddit so much lol.

PR and Advertising would hate it more. Devs are just code monkeys. Who's going to want to spend money on a website which can't keep its own users from taking down the site? Imagine being the guy who has to explain to advertisers why the CPM increased and impressions decreased due to the number of available ad boxes being sliced in half.

I would imagine because if they start banning communities based on what the most active users say it would be the end of the site, power balance etc

I had an account for about a month. I was using an obscure electrical engineering subreddit. Someone posted a question about getting a PLC to communicate with a computer. In the course of explaining what to do, I referenced a specific part, a gender bender, so that the necessary cable would work with the person's USB port.

It's legitimately what the part is called. Went to sleep. Next morning found out I was Perma banned from the subreddit and I had about 30 messages from the mod accusing me of hate speech, harassment, and stalking.

I guess the subreddit community, and even some of the other mods, made fun of the top mod for overreacting to a proper engineering term and over the course of the night, my account was banned and unbanned repeatedly. Eventually I guess that top mod won.

The whole subreddit got nuked the next day. Then I noticed I was banned from like every single subreddit on the main page or whatever. So I left.

Because, this was the first time the Jannies have tried to properly mobilize and were in full sight of the users.

Reddit only works because everyone still on it who isn't pissed off or new still believes it's like 2012. The truth is, a very small amount of people are actually effected by the politicals, and everyone else rolls their eyes at politics on r/pics and shrugs at the idiots screaming about drumpf and when told about what's going on they can basically go "okay schizo" and continue looking at cat memes.

Reddit is a toe deep into anonymity. People expect to be able to talk about what they want to. Had the mods slowly pressured the admins individually they would have given in. Had they brigaded the sub with lolicon, they would have won. But slowly over time the "schizo's" have been proved right and right again, and the noose has tightened, until one day Spez woke up, jacked off to his favorite Skyrim character getting spit roasted by skeevers, which I'm assuming is what he's into, only to keep being interrupted by janitors pinging him through discord that he needs to sign their petition. And then he finds that shit is all over reddit.

And suddenly Spez realizes that ever since he admitted to the mods of TheDonald they were aware about the brigading attempts in public, that the Jansexuals had become all too comfortable. Now one was ousted as a pedo. Now the BBC is doing a piece on how all of the mods on lesbian are dudes. Suddenly Reddit is being defined by the moderators and the voice of his roommate from 2005 laughing his ass off at Diggs shitty moderator team causing reddit to explode rings in his ears.

The Jannies fucked up. They challenged the master. They forgot that their control was a reward and not intrinsic.

And nothing will fucking change.
