Right, most people make the mistake of thinking the KPD was similar to, say, the post-war Italian or French Communist Parties which accepted their Republics. (Well... after it was clear they weren't going to sweep to power anyway.) The KPD was NOT a democratic party, it wanted to overthrow the Weimar Republic as much as the Nazis did. If you know this then you can easily look at the Weimar election results and see that a majority of the vote was moving against the Republic just from adding three parties together, NSDAP+KPD+DNVP.
Once he gets that robot body, he will transcend the need to "survive" or pass on his "lineage". He will be an immortal god of science, progress and unapologetic consoomerism unbound by the petty laws of nature (unlike those obsolete Believers)!
