Oh yeah the guy does begathons damn near bi-monthly. He's doing it his because fucking buisness depends on it. All of this song and dance he does on stream is just set dressing. Getting his paypigs and whales ready to pay out.

A smarter man would pace how often he cracks the whip. But I imagine Phil sees his base as one of those old fashioned oil drills where oil spouts out the top. If money isn't raining down on him, his answer is to kick the drill and yell at it until money flows again.

His reasoning for dropping to 241? He considers 241 a success as that is the 'highest' they have ever reached. He's now saying he's sure that there are 10 people in the chat that can join tonight.

The reality? He needs that goal to get hit because he needs the fundraiser.

By Phil's own stated ethical metric, this completely compromises the legitimacy of the goal.
The power move will likely be to now increase the tips goal on the marathon stream, which he stated he would not do, because he lowered the goal to get the marathon to begin with and needs to balance it out.

Weasels gonna weasel.

Autism. Phil's day off is tomorrow and he cannot, under any circumstances change that, nor does he have the foresight to not plan a day off on a potentially important day, like the last day of a sub goal. This is the end of his 'streaming month'.

He's likely also conflicted between punishing his paypigs for not stepping up, and the fact that he doesn't want to fail in meeting the goal and deal with the inconvenience of having to justify a fundraiser.

I didn't realize it had dropped so much. That's fucking hilarious. Having it not be a round number is weird though. Maybe he could only cajole a bare minimum of subscribed sock accounts?
