If Covid were a left-wing plot, it backfired hard in the worst way possible. You see, something like this wouldn't have gotten the virulent reaction it did before... but the online learning exposed a lot of parents to what their kids are taught. it's gone like wildfire among the normies that the curriculum isn't good, and so the normies are -very- interested. Hopefully Veritas does more of this specific area, they are actually leaning on an area they can get a lot of on-the-ground support for.

IIRC the student news channel did a puff piece about him that made him out to be pretty well liked. It says something that he didn't feel at all uncomfortable about covering his walls with literal communist propaganda and made no effort to conceal his power level talking to a reporter about it until he got put on blast across the conservasphere.

Nobody was looking for them, so they could spread their rot at will. Now parents are aware, and while ideas like CRT can seem vague and far away... what their -children- are being taught is immediate and personal. That can move them, move them in great numbers, and even move them to great anger.

Addendum: Fun fact, one of the -largest- group of first-time voters for Republicans in 2020 were people citing concerns about education. That was only a year into this,. they've had time to stew and grow in anger since. This, by the numbers and as a fact, -moves- people to vote against it.

All of this is Biden's katrina, revealing the fundamental weakness of his administration and destroying any credibility. Or Chirac losing the referendum on the treaty for the constitution of the EU (which the French rejected by a wide margin at the time). In each case, there's a clear line beyond which they lose political standing and the ability to force a policy agenda. Biden is walking dead now. He might stay in the whitehouse until 2024, but he won't be able to do much of anything without constant pushback and roadblocks.
