I don't know how civil jurisdiction in Japan works, but I'm pretty sure Null would have to claim in whatever jurisdiction the damages occurred (United States, where his LLC is based). He should absolutely file a criminal complaint though, although I doubt they give a fuck about gaijin business.

3. Injury to Property: the dreamhost contract (which IS property under color of law) was lost

Nonresident foreigners (aka tourists and people who aren’t already living here) have been banned from entering Japan since March 2020. Unless he visited before then and saved up photos to release in a slow troll burn, this is unlikely.

Null has no legal grounds to file anything in Japan, unfortunately.

I had already decided not to use bsnes/higan anymore because they were spawned from the stinkditch of a troonfag, which ruins the retro experience because we didn't have to deal with those kinds of people back then. This reaffirms my decision. Not to white knight or anything, but suicide baiting is pretty dickish not only to the people involved but also to people who genuinely struggle with suicidal misery and aren't just threatening suicide for attention or control. Plenty of people keep their self-destructiveness private (or at least confined to therapy sessions) instead of inflicting it on the people in their life.
