Apparently, the top 25 cities that pollute in the world are all Chinese. They account for 52% of all city pollution.

Since China has no intention of stopping, and since Democrats declare this to be the end of the world issue, why won't they declare war on China to stop and adhere to environmental standards? The world will end if they won't, right?

Because it was always about transfering the wealth from the US to China to make a better margin by outsourcing. Nothing more.

Fortunately, the US has a convenient neighbour to the south called Mexico that could easily fill in China's place for shitty cheap easy to manufacture goods.

And at current rates, Mexican labour will be cheaper than Chinese by around 2030, that's not including if the US cracks down on Chinese exports.

The US only has a rate of dependency on foreign trade of like 8% (and 50% of that is from Mexico) Mexican-American relations are pretty good at the moment (Better under Trump than Biden but you take what you get)

A divorce with China would be messy, but Mexico can fill much of the cheap junk if it comes down it.

Thatcher fucked it. When it went tits up and the unions knew they were done for, they stalled for time while lining their own dirty fucking pockets.

Thatcher transferred an enormous amount of wealth from the norf (pretty much everything they had), down to the sarff, especially London. She was lining the pockets of her mates by flogging cheap property, paid for by fucking, and not rebuilding, the norf. On top of that she put council houses up for sale so that private owners could pick them up cheap, guess who bought chunks of them?
