Secular Humanism, the religion of redditors, is all about maximizing happiness and self fulfillment via personal choice. This involves the pathological avoidance of all unchosen obligations (perfect ex. killing children to avoid being inconvenienced and changing life plans to raise them).

Vice, even harmful vice, is an integral part of it and won't be pursued.

These people don't run shit. You think that "the others" ran east germany? Secret police listening to bugged houses for wrongthink? You think the hall monitors run the school?

They are just useful enforcers.

Just a couple of days ago there were still some people in denial and saying that the admins wouldn't ban nonewnormal, as if they haven't been banning all other right wing subs for the last year. Because it wouldn't be profitable or some shit like that.

The admins could easily have held ground. Certainly they've played a slow game against such subs as thedonald. But there is a significant part of reddit leadership that does want to ban these kind of subs. They just want it to look right. Now they get to frame it like some grassroots activism thing. We're just giving the community what they want.

And if you think people like this would run government, then you must think Joe is calling the shots.

President Comanche is not looking so bad now after the last two, is he?

I am aware this is a male. However males can be whores too, and not being able to force the wife (or whoever else he's sleeping with) to get an abortion would still be a "dire consequence" for someone like this person. Prevents him from buying more funko pops or hipster coffee, a truly awful fate.
