I didn't even think of solitary, I agree that would be a real possibility for Chris. If he can't keep his hands to himself, if he gets too loud/annoying to the point the other prisoners might hurt him, and/or the guards just get sick of dealing with his shit... yeah. They might just drop him down there and just leave his ass there. Considering how he was supposedly traumatized by a baby sitter locking him in a room I doubt he'll take it well at all.
He is most likely in the chomo ward.

Based on the crimes he is accused of he will most likely be housed with sex offenders, specifically child sex offenders. During intake and classification he would have been deemed high risk as in there is a high risk that he would be the victim of violence. It is pretty standard for inmates with a high risk of being harmed to be given special classification of some kind and sent to be with "their own kind" or (as previously mentioned) solitary. Chris is not a danger to other inmates or the guards so there is no reason to waste a solitary cell on him. So he is most likely with the chomos.

Keep in mind that your classification is not based solely on your crimes, there is an interview and a period of observation (they put you in an intake room with a bunch of other unclassified inmates and see what happens). I am not sure about Virginia but in some states they are not allowed to classify based on your crimes or accusations. Your lawyer can actually submit information that will influence your classification. I would bet that Chris's has already done this.

I have to wonder just what Chris' lawyer did about this. Even if he's a competent lawyer, defending Chris doesn't seem like an easy task considering the facts point against him rather than in his favor.

That is most criminal cases. That's why the main job of the criminal defense attorney is not to defend his client's innocence, but to get the most lenient plea bargain he can for his client.

First they must sew the seeds of doubt. Doubt that the DA can prove it. The burden of proof is on the "people" in this case. The DA has to prove that chris is guilty of a chrim. DAs love a good record so the often choose the plee out a case that may not be a slam dunk.

You know that all it takes is a rape kit and a few testimonies to convict Chris, right?

Oh jesus fucking Christ, just give up on the Bella bullshit already.

No prosecutor is going to start across state line case about some weird “incest conspiracy internet bullshit”-case.

No prosecutor is this dumb, and anyone who suggests he might, demonstrated that they know fuck all about the legal system.

What on earth are you talking about?

Hard to prove? An 18 (or whatever year old) girl with no priors, and a “co-conspirator” who regularly babbles about alternate dimensions and being a goddess.

Nah man, that jury will have Bella convicted before you can say “reasonable doubt”.

Get out of here with all your well reasoned arguments and competent analysis!

Now that’s the kind of penetrating (ha!) well reasoned legal arguments I come to the Farms for.

Let’s hear how @Null is going to be tried to because Chris never fucked his mom before, but did shortly after Null started a gofund me for him. Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!!

The rape-spiracy goes fucking deep man!
i'll admit i know fuck all about the legal system, but wouldn't this be similar to that one girl who told her bf to kill himself and then she got charged and convicted when he did?

No, and it’s been explained why it’s different. Basically, Michelle Carter relentlessly goaded Conrad Roy into committing suicide with carbon monoxide in his truck. He got out of the truck for fresh air because it hurt, and she texted him ordering that he get back in and finish. Bella would have to be doing something similar.

Anyway, you’ll find 1st amendment champions who think Carter shouldn’t have been punished. She’s out now, in any case.

It seems the outfits the inmates wear are made with the pieces just sewn together with no regard as to whether they line up or not.

Chris is still a dolt though.

And a motherfucker.

Well, he was kinda pissed off in court...Probably none of they're playing MLP for him, in front of the other inmates to as many as you'd expect.
I was just wondering if we will eventually get his disciplinary record from this stint in jail, it would illuminate just how 'tistic he really is.

Might be brought up by the prosecution if they're based enough. But realistically speaking, assaulting an corrections officer wobbles between automatically getting more jail time or an extra charge to dispute in court.

But nothing extra happened to that autistic guy who stomped his mom to death. The guards just accommodated him and the judge threw him in an assisted living program.
