He is most likely in the chomo ward.I didn't even think of solitary, I agree that would be a real possibility for Chris. If he can't keep his hands to himself, if he gets too loud/annoying to the point the other prisoners might hurt him, and/or the guards just get sick of dealing with his shit... yeah. They might just drop him down there and just leave his ass there. Considering how he was supposedly traumatized by a baby sitter locking him in a room I doubt he'll take it well at all.
Based on the crimes he is accused of he will most likely be housed with sex offenders, specifically child sex offenders. During intake and classification he would have been deemed high risk as in there is a high risk that he would be the victim of violence. It is pretty standard for inmates with a high risk of being harmed to be given special classification of some kind and sent to be with "their own kind" or (as previously mentioned) solitary. Chris is not a danger to other inmates or the guards so there is no reason to waste a solitary cell on him. So he is most likely with the chomos.
Keep in mind that your classification is not based solely on your crimes, there is an interview and a period of observation (they put you in an intake room with a bunch of other unclassified inmates and see what happens). I am not sure about Virginia but in some states they are not allowed to classify based on your crimes or accusations. Your lawyer can actually submit information that will influence your classification. I would bet that Chris's has already done this.
