reddit General

I respectfully disagree, though I do agree that it is annoying when a field goes overly hugboxy on tolerance and inclusivity. I personally don't care what color or gender my coworkers are as long as they are not coming into a space and preaching to everyone else about how they need to kiss the ground they walk on. If someone shows up to do a job and does what they need to, then they could be from Pluto for all I care. I just don't care about being told how Plutonians should be treated like emperors because Earthlings did some shitty things.

There are jobs out there, such as nursing and tech, where there is a large discrepancy in genders. I cannot comment on nursing because I fit the mold for it, but I can comment on tech because I fit in that minority. I just would rather be treated like everyone else without someone treating me like I'm not here to just break things.

I hope that clarifies my position. To be clear, people coming into a field for inclusivity asspats can fuck right off. My stance was more on thinking someone must be worse at their job because of a feature about themselves that they can't control such as skin color or gender.
that position is so idealistic and naive it borders on delusion tbh

"i just would rather be treated like everyone else" is what they all say initially, and then the second they get that they start pushing for more, and more, and more, and that's how we ended up in current year where tech is filled to the brim with adria richards types running HR at almost every company so fuck right off with those "but we just want equal treatment uwu" lies

Coping and seething.

You can just tell the dude who posted this was fishing for awards. This has nothing to do with him being an asshole or not and everything to do with reddit's feelings towards Tiktok.

Quoting broke for your post, so this will be a bit hacked together.

I lean more towards :optimistic:. I genuinely would prefer to not assume negative thoughts in someone.

In the end, I can also only speak for myself. I just don't have the energy to fight endless invisible wars. It just isn't healthy for the mind. Regardless of what some retard in the office says, I'm at my job to do my best. This is just a bump in the road I would rather not have. In the end, I just want to see more women in my office (given that they're qualified of course) and less "how do you do fellow women" dudebros. I just can't relate to troons and I get excited seeing people like me, who also share the same passion. There are some things that are harder for men to relate to than women, like discussions of makeup application or hair care techniques. I find it easier to connect with women on that regard, though I often find myself connecting with men easier on tech discussions.

Bardfinn bragging on Twitter about his latest censorship drive:

Today is one of those days where I am so very tempted to just

So ... Reddit banned /r/NoNewNormal.

And revised the content policy to make false medical info fall under the violent threat classification.

100% did not see that coming.

Who is this NBC journalist, and why is he siding with the League Trolls?

Reddit has banned its largest antivaxx subreddit NoNewNormal after weeks of conflict between admins (who work for Reddit, and refused to ban it) and moderators (who sought its ban).

The community was banned for "brigading," or sending users to other communities to push agendas.

Reddit's volunteer moderators and the vast majority of the site's users once again have been fighting head-on with the company's CEO, this time over the proliferation of COVID disinformation.
WBUR's @Endless_Thread has good recap.

Antivaxxers in Reddit's NoNewNormal community, named after the idea that there's a mysterious global cabal trying enact a "new normal" of compliance and using COVID as a cover story, had been brigading communities like r/Aww, dedicated to pictures of cute dogs and kids.

Does this fuck know about the /r/dogswithjobs drama? I guess he doesn't.

Bardfinn shows up to pretend like Reddit isn't totally enabling the League Trolls and literally granting every take-down request they've ever submitted to the Admins:

It seems like the admins were working very hard to avoid taking any side - they effectively removed NoNewNormal on a technicality and afterwards revised their rule against violent content:

This is just deflection on Reddit's part. Everyone who has been following this ordeal now knows Reddit and the League Trolls are working hand-in-glove and that it was a Reddit insider - namely Nika Dyen their "internal communications manager" - who brought in the League Trolls to Reddit HQ, thus giving them a carte blanche to nuke any subreddit they request to have suspended.

BTW, literally every post in a transgender subreddit urging people to self-medicate with hormones from the darknet would arguably fall under the new rule change he's highlighting in the above tweet. Just look up any reference to darknet hormones in virtually any transgender subreddit and take it from there.

You are beyond delusional if you think abstinence works.

News Flash: People like to fuck. Not just women. Not just men. Literally everyone. People are gonna fuck regardless of what school, religion, society, the government, their parents, their conscious, etc. tell them.

Abstinence has never fucking worked and it never will. The best you can do is just try to teach them how to fuck safely and consensually, and give them a bunch of birth control shit, and hope for the best.

You haven't been reading the news. Sex among teens and across the population is dropping like a rock. Especially among men. Woke SJW culture has ironically accomplished what fundamentalist Christians have been dreaming of for centuries.

@Nykysnottrans
"I did not see that coming!" after the powermod chatlogs leaked and they were shown to be conspiring to do this exact shit.

"NNN was banned for sending their users to other subs, they tried to push ideas on other communities!" after the jannies literally made a sitewide post seen by millions. After jannies were ordering global scrutiny and encouraging brigading against NNN.

🤡 🤡 🤡 and I cannot emphasize this enough, 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡 🤡

That’s weird. I thought the farms were more centrist than right wing. Can’t you hate both sides?

ETA: Lol, i guess all you pearl-clutching religious fanatics don’t mind your taxes increasing to take care of all the severely disabled children in state care that couldn’t be aborted, because they weren’t diagnosed until well after six weeks.

"Texas, Red State stereotype, did the thing Republicans have wanted to do for my entire life and now it doesn't feel like home anymore." Literally wut?

"Texas love its second amendment. If Texas men feared for their life for even interacting with women, maybe shit would change."

Yes, committing a murder because someone talked to you is a great way to enact social change, as opposed to a way for you to kill someone and then get the death penalty even as a woman because Texas. Good luck with that, retard.
