But yes, I'll admit that is a lingering thought in my mind too. And had the "Byuu is dead" theory had anything (literally, any other single thing) that was propping it up, I'd be willing to consider the possibility that there was a fuck-up. But that's not what's happening. "Oh, the US government's system wasn't updated!" wasn't just some freak occurrence throwing doubt on an otherwise solid basis. It's instead just the latest excuse for why we still have no fucking evidence at all that this dude is even dead.

I went full autismo for a moment to see if I could cross check the deaths listed with news stories or anything like that. A US Marine drowned in Okinawa, remains identified on June 9th. This death isn’t listed on the report, but I’m guessing military deaths are excluded.

An airforce civilian contractor drowned in Japan in March 2021. There is a drowning death on the report for March 25th in Hiroshima, but news story about the airforce guy says his death occurred on Saturday, March 27th off Okinawa. I’m not sure what to make of it.

Only question I've got that can muddy things up; was Byuu/Near a resident of Japan or were they visiting?
Japan does not allow dual citizenship. Meaning if he moved to Japan permanently without a green card, he would be considered a Japanese citizen.

Second, a big suicide thing in Japan is the Aokigahara Forest, well known for people going out and hanging themselves. Was his suicide method ever mentioned?
If he pulled a weeb suicide he could have hung himself there and they haven't yet found his body.

Just caught back up with this thread and I've noticed that the past 30 pages have basically been the same things rehashed over and over again, so let's ask some questions that I haven't seen answered.

Who is Wayne Beckett? Well apparently he is the one who has Byuu's "remains", but we don't know if he has any connection with Byuu's family, so what does that mean? Well that mean's rather than Byuu's family having the supposed "remains" it's Byuu's friends. This would be okay if he has no family but from what I could tell his mother is still alive whilst his dad, Terry Lee Ginder, died in 2011. So we are left to speculate, his family might have disowned him or he might have fallen out with them, but often times gay men will see their mothers as the main prenatal figure, so after Byuu's father died it seems fairly weird that he wouldn't have attempted to reach out to his mother in an attempt to, in no better terms, rekindle their relationship. Though this is just speculation as we might not know unless we can find Byuu's mother's Facebook account as there might be pictures of her and Byuu. But an even bigger question, why didn't Patrick Tresner, Byuu's (possible) ex husband, receive the "ashes" or even a small portion of it? I think it's possible that the reason the relationship ended wasn't because some argument but much rather the fact that they both wanted to see other people and considering the fact that Byuu moved to Japan somewhere around 2018 it would make sense. But maybe I'm wrong, maybe they didn't break up and I'm just misremembering what was said as a offtopic comment towards the start of entire fiasco. But the fact that gay people often base their relationships around sex - see the statistics of how many people are fucked by the average gay person - it would make sense. So it's probably reasonable to assume that this Wayne Beckett character is either a fuck buddy of Byuu along with Hector Martin which would explain why he's so willing to defend this insane idea that Byuu necked himself cause of a 13 page thread.

Byuu is massively salty because he made a technically superior emulator but it’s less popular than the other main stream ones and it may put him in jail or with insane fines (which Nintendo to collect).

snes9x manages to be accurate for 99% use cases while running on significantly weaker hardware. That's far more impressive than bsnes. The biggest impediment to cycle accurate emulation is hardware, and bsnes solved this problem by not solving it.
