BWA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

Oh that's... that's funny.

You're kidding yourself if you don't think Pfizer isn't making BILLIONS off of government contracts.
Not sure about Pfizer, but I remembered reading that Moderna went from a loss to over a billion in earnings. This is the first time that they have generated PRODUCT revenue. Previously, their revenue came from grant/collaboration.

Moderna reports $1.7 billion in COVID-19 vaccine sales, posts first profit ever

Moderna Inc. MRNA, 0.64% brought in $1.7 billion in sales of its COVID-19 vaccine in the first quarter of 2021, marking the company's first significant billion-dollar revenue haul this year and also the first time it's ever reported a GAAP profit. Moderna had earnings of $1.2 billion, or $2.84 per share, in the first quarter of 2021. This is compared to a loss of $124 million, or 35 cents per share, in the first quarter a year ago. The FactSet consensus was $2.39. Moderna had revenue of $1.9 billion for the quarter, up from $8 million in the same quarter a year ago. The FactSet consensus for revenue was $2.0 billion. This quarter marked the first time that the company has generated product revenue during the first three months of the year. About $1.7 billion of that came from sales of its COVID-19 vaccine. (Before receiving authorization from the Food and Drug Administration, it generated grant and collaboration revenue.) Moderna's stock is up 55.8% for the year, while the S&P 500 SPX, -0.11% has gained 10.9%

Has anyone flown domestically in the U.S. since the rules about needing a vaccine or a negative test result? For the test results do they just look at a copy you printed out or your chart on your phone? I have both, but they both look like they'd be so easy to fake if you really wanted to, I kind of feel like a chump for actually getting the test done.

Is it just more security theater shit like after 9-11?

Like, if you were someone who believes the shit about how horrible and deadly this pandemic is, wouldn't it strike you as kind of odd how janky and flimsy some of these rules and restrictions are? Like how some places require masks but you're allowed to take them off to eat and drink? It all seems like such a joke.

I really thought people would wake up after they realized people weren't dying in the streets, it's pretty demoralizing to see so many people stuck in panic mode over all this.

Oh great. Some guy makes a completely rational statement, and people whine it’s not politically-correct to say it:

Sweetgreen CEO Jonathan Newman took down a LinkedIn post where he tied obesity to COVID deaths and suggested taxing and outlawing junk food after he was labeled 'fat-phobic.'

Newman, the co-founder and CEO of popular salad restaurant chain Sweetgreen, faced backlash for his statements posted to LinkedIn on Tuesday, where he makes a direct connection to the country's obesity epidemic and the COVID pandemic.

'78% of hospitalizations due to COVID are Obese and Overweight people,' he posted. 'Is there an underlying problem that perhaps we have not given enough attention to? Is there another way to think about how we tackle 'healthcare' by addressing the root cause?'

COVID-19 is a vascular endotheliitis. It more strongly affects people with pre-existing endothelial dysfunction for a number of reasons, particularly because of redox equilibrium changes in the blood vessels and lower nitric oxide levels in people who have ED. Which groups of people most consistently have endothelial dysfunction? Those with obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, old age, and/or African-American race. All of these groups suffer much higher rates of mortality from COVID-19. In fact, the racial disparities in COVID-19 severity remain even when you control for wealth, so it’s not access to healthcare that’s causing it.

Arterial endothelial dysfunction is a systemic disorder and one of the earliest manifestations in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and is associated with CVD events.4–7 It results from decreased nitric oxide (NO) bioactivity and is associated with vascular inflammation, vasoconstriction, and thrombosis.6,7 Laboratory studies indicate that the steady-state electrochemical balance among NO, superoxide (O2−), and peroxynitrite (ONOO−) in endothelial cells is closer to the redox state in blacks, a state which is characteristic for endothelial dysfunction.8 Decreased endothelial function in blacks are well-documented;9–13 however, the relative contribution of race as a determinant of endothelial function independent of other risk factors remains to be established.

Lower NO levels actually make COVID-19 substantially worse, because COVID-19 tips the balance of redox activity in the blood vessels even further into the arena of endothelial dysfunction. Not only that, nitric oxide is antiviral and directly interferes with the Spike protein.

What raises your nitric oxide levels faster than anything else? Eating rabbit food. Literally just swap a serving of Cheetos Puffs with a salad.

The best prophylaxis against COVID-19 is simply terminating endothelial dysfunction if you have it. Easier said than done. The best way is eat a very balanced and antioxidant diet, exercise damn near constantly, and drop your BMI below 25.

Being fat stresses and prematurely ages your blood vessels. SARS-CoV-2 is a virus that attacks weakened, aged blood vessels better than healthy ones. It’s just a fact. There is no such thing as healthy at any size. If you are 45+ BMI, you are torturing your blood vessels constantly.

I took some online college courses to pad out my electives in like 2012ish. It was such a joke, everyone basically got a 4.0. What would've been a 45 min PowerPoint lecture with discussion turns into 10 min of breezing through if you're a decently fast reader. Pretty sure I spent about an hour PER WEEK on each course and got perfect grades in all of them. It required no effort wwhatsoever.

My big question is what the hell are science majors doing this whole time? What good is a biochem degree with no lab time? Can they even graduate someone who doesn't meet the lab requirements? I would probably drop out of college if they did online only because it's worth even less than it usually is. You can always re-enroll and write some sob story about your mental health being bad cause muh pandemic.
@mdrop22 (sorry I cant quote you normally for some reason)
Yeah the actual assignments are piss easy. But if a teacher forgets to add an assignment to the calendar then students have no easy way of finding the assignment.

This is Desire 2 learn, one of the more popular online learning platforms. Its hard to explain how shitty the UI to someone who hasn't used it but assignments can be hidden in any of those tabs (Content, Discussions, Quizzes and assignments which isn't in this ancient screenshot). Its fucking annoying looking through 5 pages for new assignments (not counting subfolders) when teachers could just add assignments to the fucking calendar. and if you have more than one class then you have to look through those pages as well.

At least Pfizer's new Coof pill is not actually Ivermectin. It's something called PF-07321332 and really is not Ivermectin. It's just supposed to be used in the same situation as Ivermectin, and unlike Ivermectin, makes Pfizer more money.
Look at those Republican idiots taking Ibuprofin! Why are they spreading all this misinformation around instead of just taking Advil like Fauci said!

If it makes you feel better; I can tell it's a shitty UI just from that screencap and the terrible WYSIWYG module.

I'm flying domestic later today and the airline hasn't said anything about testing, just the standard wear your masky-poo and confirm you haven't been near any plague rats in the last 10 days.
Oh shit, I guess I probably don't need it. My airline said to "follow the CDCs recommendation for domestic travel" which says to have a test 1-3 days before if you're not vaccinated, but it doesn't actually say anything about needing to see the test. God I hate flying last minute, I turn into a retard.

@Game master arino reply function is spotty at best, it's just some bug that hasn't been fixed since Null is on vacation.

That UI looks painfully similar to the one I used. Which means universities haven't updated their shit in at least 9 years.

The same way hospitals are so short staffed that they are firing those that don't get the shot.
The source for overflowing hospitals is and has always been My Friend The Healthcare Worker, cousin to My Cousin's Girlfriend's Sister's Aunt's Husband Who Died At 21 From Covid Because It's Very Deadly.

Not actual stats.

Not gonna lie I was worried for my anus there for a minute. Always a good idea to double check the airline ToS even if you're conditioned to ignore words like "CDC" and "strongly recommended".

Check it out folks

I called that hospital they have no idea what the news story is talking about...when i sent a link email to the receptionist i guess the story cannot be acessed and has an error...so i took a screenshot and sent it and ive been told now by 3 people its bullshit. Like the 75 doctors walking out.

Is this some sort of internet DARPA propaganda program?

Real schizo shit happening. Call them yourself

Im taking a break from all this shit...i cant do it anymore.

There's a local shopping area where the vast majority of the stores have no muzzle mandates.

A few have muzzle mandates if you haven't gotten the jab, but no one checks the non-muzzled.

But of course the hipster leftist Apple Store wants all - vaccinated or not - to muzzle up. Back when coronapanic was in full swing in early 2020, that same store was one of the first closing entirely.

(not being in a "blue state" is a good idea after 2020)

Most of the stuff I've found that's supposed to clarify domestic travel rules is super weaselly in it's wording about whether it's required or not. Some even give timelines for when you need to get tested in order to meet the 1-3 days recommendation as if it's something they're even checking.

I mean, I was definitely being a tard because I get stressed out about travelling but it does seem like some of these guidelines go out of their way to be as unhelpful as possible.

Sorry to spook you! I'm a chump.

hey @Drain Todger

Like you said in that post (bug won't let me quote it), I can also see the powers that shouldn't be trying to break down what's left of "society" to build a technocratic prison hive of miserable "serfs" who own nothing, live in pods, eat the bugs, wear the mask, and take the jab. Like I said, this endless coof scamdemic was useful in accelerating the plans of such a dystopia, and getting Orange Man out.

the similarities between covid and climate change were obvious as hell from the start. everyone who cheered on denmark sticking it to china and putting their citizens on house arrest deserves to live in that "i own nothing, have no privacy, and have never been happier" world. yes that includes computing forever
