Biden did play a big role in the passage of the Patriot Act and frequently bragged that he had a big role in writing the legislation (originally he drafted it up after the OKC bombing) which was a direct result of 9/11 and thoroughly violated our constitutional rights, I can see why he still gets excited about the mention of the tragedy that allowed the government to massively overstep its boundaries.
It is but right now Manchin and possibly Sinema are still standing in the way of a lot of their bullshit, albeit because they themselves know they're on thin ice with their constituents in normally conservative states. This could change but maybe for now they'll still serve to temper the other Dems and their lust for power.

Personally I am pro-abortion because blacks get more abortions relative to their population than any other race, and because babies with Down's Syndrome or other severe genetic abnormalities are more likely to be aborted. Yes, I'm aware that these are "literally eugenics" arguments that can also be used against unrestricted abortion access so if you are pro-life, feel free to use them as ammunition as they make so-called progressives squirm. Go far enough right and you circle back to being pro-choice.
