So, we basically know for sure now? Or do we know for sure at end of August? I'm confused on the whole when the Japs will tell us, if at all??

Do we party for the Byuu and the farms is still alive party? Disco theme? Or gay theme?

isnt it illegal to sell emulators for profit? :story:

Could Nintendo have gotten wind of this and forced byuu into hiding?
Emulators like snes9x and FinalBurn Neo explicitly forbid commercial use, so it's copyright infringement to sell those for profit, but if an emulator allows for commercial use it's not illegal to sell them for profit provided the other terms of their license are respected. Emulators are perfectly legal provided their implementations don't use proprietary software from the original hardware and any reverse engineering was done cleanly. Depending on the hardware used, a patent argument could be made but a lot these consoles use off the shelf parts that preclude most of the hardware from a patent argument from the console manufacturer themselves. In the case of the SNES, it's 30 years old, so any patents related to it are long expired. So, that only leaves a software argument and I don't believe bsnes uses any non-trivial software that Nintendo holds copyright to.

I wonder; would Hector & @Wayne Beckett independently take up Byuu's cause, based on their shared social habits & circles, and start collaborating after Byuu dropped his suicide note?

At this point I'm considering it more likely that Byuu contracted both of them to perpetuate the hoax; Beckett to forge the passport photo, affirm the suicide & release publicity pics for mass media (ex. the cat cafe); Hector to run disinformation & deflection on the social media front.
Also some other stuff I found whilst digging: Wayne has a question about using copyright regarding open source programs, Government COVID checks which made him roughly $35,000 and some pretty interesting shipping stuff. @annex
That's a good chunk of DDOS cash; didn't the attacks come in two waves? I've never thought glowdaddy had anything to do with the second, that was just unhappy coincidence.

Guys, we all know what has to come next.
This is the call we have all been waiting for and we need to answer it.
Gentlemen, it's time for the Kiwifarms Japan Arc. Get your katanas and schoolgirl uniforms on, it's time for the farms to expand and evolve into the ninja-clan we were always meant to be.

we got an update

cant archive, but nothing for late june 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀

I guess USA Today need to know that they printed lies.

I haven't fully caught up on the thread, so playing devils advocate. Are we sure he didn't fully immigrate to Japan, and become a full citizen? if so this would make this new find a moot point.
No. He didn't. It's hard to become a citizen here. He doesn't even fit any one of the categories to be eligible.

Isn't Byuu's name David? He wasn't listed as a survivor upon his own father's death?
To comment, there doesn't seem to be a "crossville" in Ohio. So we either got the name wrong, or they neglected to mention David, or he was super serious persona non grata. Like someone that did something totally irredeemable.

"He was an automobile stereo technician and was of the Baptist faith"
Now I don't know about you but last time I checked, people of faith don't really like gay people. So it's reasonable to assume that he was disowned.
It depends. Some people in Baptist faith kinda don't care, but a lot of them do. Where I was born, the people were serious bible thumpers and even in obituaries, I saw them mention people that were persona non grata. However, I saw deadnames more than anything else. But this is also an obituary from 2011. Was he trans then? I thought the whole non-binary thing was recent.

But being disowned would really explain how his family doesn't care. Or maybe they just don't care for social media somehow. Good for them if this is the case.

It's Crossville, Tennessee.

It only says, "survivors include", so maybe whoever wrote it (his 2nd wife?) was hedging a bit.

I get that, and occam's razor and all. However there's still a chance that it did happen, I want to have proof beyond a reasonable doubt, I'll probably check if you can find those weird japanese combined family records on that side of the net to double check it.

Stop being retarded. Byuu isn't a millionaire CEO or a valuable pro-sumo champ or athlete. There is no way he would even be allowed to proceed with the initial stages of citizenship after being here ~3 years working at some rinky dink company with ~20 employees. For plebs you need to have been here at least 5 years in the country without leaving for longer than something like 60 days each year. Byuu wasn't here for 5 years and didn't meet any of the conditions for that requirement to be weaved. Case closed.

Apparently he has a resident card. FYI naturalized citizens don't have residence cards because they aren't foreigners anymore.

Really this is pretty simple. You can go and see the requirements in english for yourself on the Ministry of Justice site.

If that situation were even remotely possible Hector would have used it to explain why the death isn't recorded instead of trying to make out that Japan still sends records like that via carrier pigeon because they haven't worked out how to internet yet.

And just in case your stumps can't operate google:

1 Domicile (Article 5, Paragraph 1 of the Japanese Nationality Act)
The person must have been domiciled in Japan for five years or more consecutively and must have had a valid status of residence throughout the prescribed period of time.
2 Capacity (Article 5, Paragraph 1, Item 2 of the Japanese Nationality Act)
The person must be 20 years of age or more, and of full capacity to act according to the law of his/her home country.
(From April 1, 2022, the person must be 18 years of age or more, and of full capacity to act according to the law of his/her home country.)
3 Conduct (Article 5, Paragraph 1, Item 3 of the Japanese Nationality Act)
The person must be of upright conduct. The determination of conduct will be based on social conventions with ordinary individuals as the standard, considering the existence of a criminal record, their tax payment status and whether they have disturbed society.
4 Livelihood (Article 5, Paragraph 1, Item 4 of the Japanese Nationality Act)
The person must be able to secure a livelihood in Japan. This condition will be judged on the basis of a family unit to make a living. Even if an applicant does not have an income, if a secure livelihood can be ensured through the property or skills of their spouse or relatives, this condition will be met.
5 Prevention of multiple nationality condition (Article 5, Paragraph 1, Item 5 of the Japanese Nationality Act)
Those who wish to be naturalized must either have no nationality or, in principle, lose their nationality by naturalization. As an exception, in cases where the nationality of the country cannot be lost regardless of the intention of the person, naturalization may be permitted even if this condition is not met (Article 5, Paragraph 2 of the Japanese Nationality Act).
6 Constitutional compliance condition (Article 5, Paragraph 1, Item 6 of the Japanese Nationality Act)
Those who have themselves or have formed or belong to an organization plotting or advocating the overthrow of the Japanese government will not be given permission to naturalize.

These are the minimum requirements.
He fails on number 1. Being on a ton of mental health pills, being a furry, having a long internet history of being nuts isn't good for 3. For 4 you should either be married and thus not be totally fucked if you end up not being able to work anymore or be employed like a standard Japanese employee that's almost impossible to fire.

Japan has very strict laws regarding personal information after some women were killed by abusive husbands who they'd left but the husband went to city hall and just got their address, as well as other stuff.

Which is one of the reasons I seriously doubt Martin was able to get any info out of the police because he wasn't even slightly next of kin.

Martin has ran away from Twitter because he's scared now. He knows his lies are going to fuck him in his faggot ass.
