The lore as I remember it is some random commenter called DSP Dave in something he read out and he seemed pissy about it so Tevin started calling him Dave. So no idea who originated it but Tevin made it a thing for sure.

I thought that was connected to the detractors discovering the 'DSP Enterprises' website. The site's description was stuffed with all kinds of mindless jargon that did nothing to explain what the business's purpose was, and the CEO of DSP Enterprises was named 'David Park'.

Phil's dad's name is David. That's the more likely origin.

I think since Sekiro and/or Nioh 2 he learned that he can't do shit without guides. He finally was conscious about his lack of skill, lack of understanding and button mashing. So either it's walking sims or he "sacrifices" his free time (he has more than most working people) to read up on builds and walkthroughs. Still mashing buttons.

RE is a disgrace for the franchise with the dumbest story and most lackluster MC (thank God they killed him off). Only Hades is a legit game. I won't even comment on the other two. At least for two of them he read guides. If anyone, who plays a lot of games, would tell me that these are in his top 4, top 5 or even top 10 picks of the year, I would think you enrolled to denthead college.

I don't normally buy into the pigroach luck, but I will say that one lucky element of Phil is his "trolls". Phil's home address/phone number and even gate code have been known for a pretty long time, at least as long as I've followed DSP.

i know not directly interacting with the cow is a site wide rule, but numerous people have pointed out that for some reason the DSP section took it to the next level.

i have no desire to directly interact with phil. but if someone wants to send cops to his house at 3am? go for it. by all means, it'd be funny. chase him out of the fuckin' fred meyers dressed up as hulk hogan, the possibilities are endless and hilarious.

Sending the police round is not funny, it's the type of thing that has gotten people killed. Not to mention it being highly illegal and preventing them from dealing with actual crime.

Phil complains about a fast-food burger not being to his liking and the support increases. He has one "slow" day and gets two-hundred dollars the next.
I agree that it's unnecessary for anyone to tamper with Phil but no one cares how much money his paypigs funnel into him. He's been getting ten-thousand dollars every month since he left Youtube and he's still crying that he can't afford groceries. The ride never ends.

Phil's best detractor will always be Phil. He's a shut in who is so terrified of interaction he won't play games with his own fans, and so paranoid he looks out the window at unexpected vehicles. So messing with him IRL is unnecessary.

If someone did dress up as Hogan and filmed themselves following him around shouting "It's WWE Champions time!" he would just ignore them, waddle off to his car, then go on stream to complain about shithead trolls harassing him, and that guy was lucky he didn't knock him out on the spot. So just a standard presteam.

i've said this before but it doesn't fucking matter. Phil is a professional victim. You honestly think if he wins the lottery tomorrow he's going to go on stream and just "alright guys, we did it, my money problems are over, let's pack it up". No matter what happens, no matter how much money he gets, he will be on stream tomorrow begging for more.

Phil is nothing more than a cartoon to me. You people love to throw around the writers joke. Phil's entire existence means as much to me as a TV show, whether he wins the lottery or gets hit by a car, matters little to me. But I do prefer my TV shows to be entertaining.
