When I went to Subway this weekend, the guy working the counter was an absolute dead ringer for FilmRobert. Now aside from the fact that I'm not anywhere near Bahstan, there were some other reasons I knew it couldn't be him. For one, he had a job. We were the only ones in the shop at the time, and when I casually mentioned that I had come to this Subway since the other one near me was closed for some reason, we ended up in a brief but surprisingly detailed and informative conversation about the supply chain problems Subway had been experiencing due to the 'rona. This reminds me of a docu I saw where officials in LA erected a safe, clean, tightly monitored "tiny home" village for the homeless. A large number of homeless rejected the idea of living there because it had stringent rules against drug use and being out after curfew. Just those two things by themselves turn off a large number of potential residents and one could argue that those are pretty reasonable rules to have for the sake of public safety.
