The only way shit like that works, however, is if the people who commit the attack don't have a large contingent of the U.S. supportive of them. It'll blow up like a stack of dynamite in their faces if someone does some minecraft on 9/11 and people are sympathetic to the guy on the same level as Kyle Rittenhouse or Derek Chauvin.

I think a big problem is people don't know what to fight. Sure, you're supportive of those couple cities or that one state standing up to the federal government, but what do you do? Who do you target? If the feds aren't in your city and are only in certain problem areas hundreds of miles away, what is your battle? Perhaps the smart thing to do would be act in defiance of all federal laws and taxes. If your local governments don't declare independence from federal rule, then they should be the target. The trouble here is convincing comfortable Americans that they should target their own state and city governments who will try their best to weasel word their way out of being on anyone's bad side, or say they're independent but without giving any power up to people who would actually fight to keep it that way. So the divisionists would have to be willing and able to take enough power from the city and state governments to hold them to their word.

If they keep this up, and keep having the Supreme court come in and say "You can't just stretch your presumption of power that far", eventually they're gonna come out and say "All federal organizations can only work in the confines of strictly defined powers granted via congress. Blanket statements and generalizations will be interpreted as minimal scope".

I believe Gorsuch has been itching to make just such a ruling! It is his defining stance: federal agencies are evil, and the Chevron precedent has to go. Chevron is what allows all of this. Get rid of that, and they don't even have plausible deniability that they thought they could do it through the agencies.

What I don't understand is that arbitrary cutoff of 100, since to be required to offer healthcare to your employees you must have 50+ workers. I would have thought they could have tied the vax to increased insurance costs but here we are.

So there's that as well.

Seeing people legitimately cheering this forced mandate on without realizing the precedent it sets makes me sick to my stomach.
