Ohio being included in this map doesn't seem likely without a source. Governor DeWine [R] had a very aggressive Covid response in the first few months, and has been very consistent in asking people to get the jab. He has been de-teethed in forcing it upon people and trying to force mask mandates because his policies were not popular with the rest of the R OH government. He's basically made both sides of the political spectrum mad at him because his R voters didn't like how he responded to Covid during the first few months and the Ds are mad that he isn't going ham on more restrictions. Is the state's government standing up against this because I doubt DeWine will.

Some politicians, like Mayor Ginther of Columbus decided to "no u" the lack of mask mandates and force a mask mandate on the city just this week. Gotta worry about the coof instead of the homicide rates in his city and the other 2 big C's rocketing past norms. Apparently, areas of Columbus that have been made safe aren't anymore and it's not just the homicides. From what locals bitch about online, the cops are just doing nothing about reports of people hoodluming. There is also a lot of bitching about catalytic converters being stolen, but it is hard to put a number for something like that.

So has Ohio told Biden to pound salt? Or is it just assumed because it's a purple state that voted red the past couple of times?

Got to see my doctor today to renew my medication. She asked me if I took the vaccine yet. I told her that I wasn't interested, she starts rambling about how it's the fault of the unvaccinated, they clogging the hospitals, that it's unbelievable that in our rich, developped country we still have people who refuse to do what they're told, etc. I told her about the Israel situation, how they were all forced to get vaxxed and most of them ended up dying in the hospitals. She told me to not go on the internet and to trust the science. She adds that if it was up to her, she would take the healthcare benefits away from the people who refuse to get vaxxed. I replied that I will just wait until our Mommy's boy Macron stars building his concentration camps and I will go live there.

Here's a thought--the government can and will cancel your vaccine passport on the pretext that it's fake simply because you are a dissident. I guarantee this will happen because the government already harasses their enemies using other nominally legal methods. Like think of it, you post wrongthink on the internet, suddenly your vaccine passport stops working because the government suspects you've forged your vaccine card. You then have to go through layer upon layer of bureaucracy to get your vaccine passport unsuspended (assuming it's legit to begin with), just like you do with the No Fly List, or you wait until the government "finishes their investigation and finds they were in error--sorry citizen for the mistake!"

I think people in this thread are missing the fact there are vaxxed people out there who strongly oppose this bullshit too. You know, like Donald Trump or Ron DeSantis. And if everyone quits/is fired on the same day, there's no reason you can't call in sick for a day or two. My guess is that they are going to justify it on general orderly-conduct grounds. My better guess is that the real reason is domestic violence. Children who face the highest risk of a “cardiac adverse event” are boys aged between 12 and 15 following two doses of a vaccine, according to new research from the US.

The findings come as Professor Chris Whitty, England’s chief medical officer, prepares to advise ministers on whether there is a wider benefit to society from vaccinating children.

Last week, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) delivered its long-awaited verdict, saying the “margin of benefit” of jabbing 12- to 15-year-olds was “considered too small” and citing the low risk to healthy children from the virus.

However, Sajid Javid, the Health Secretary, said he wanted Prof Whitty and the chief medical officers from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to “consider the vaccination of 12- to 15-year-olds from a broader perspective”.


He said he would then “consider the advice from the chief medical officers, building on the advice from the JCVI, before making a decision shortly”.

Students, parents and teachers across the country, including on Long Island are expected to participate in a planned walkout today over mask mandates in schools.

At least two districts across Long Island, West Islip and Massapequa, are expected to hold protests for School Walkout Day.

Those planning to take part in demonstrations like West Islip resident Veronique Walrapp say they want to make a statement to Gov. Kathy Hochul and to their school districts against requiring face coverings for children.

“I think that it should be optional,” Walrapp says. “I think parents should have the choice to make that decision for their children. I’m not against masks.”

The Massapequa school district released a statement regarding the planned protest, saying: “An unauthorized exit from the building will be viewed as an infraction to our code of conduct and will result in consequences as outlined in the code. Many Long Islanders say they plan to take part in a nationwide School Walkout Day on Friday morning.

Parents, teachers and students will be participating by either not showing up to school or pulling their children out of school early during their first week back.

Gov. Kathy Hochul implemented a universal mask policy for all children in all school districts in the state. Massapequa mother Deanne Dunn says she will be pulling her children out of school at 10 a.m. Friday.

In a statement, the Massapequa superintendent responded to those who plan to participate. It reads in part, "An unauthorized exit from the building will be viewed as an infraction to our Code of Conduct and will result in consequences as outlined in the code. This includes jeopardizing a fall athlete's eligibility to participate as a Massapequa team member."

But Dunn and other parents are willing to take a stand.

Australia’s drug regulator has banned medical practitioners from prescribing the anti-parasitic drug ivermectin for “off-label” uses, such as for treating Covid-19.
The move comes after prescriptions for the drug increased between three and four times in Australia in recent months.
