Weirdly enough, it really hasn't.
Instead of sliding out of people's minds that I know, it's just ONE MORE FUCKING THING that is being stacked up.

The Great Jogging of 2020 destroyed any faith people had in the police.

The cancellation of the pipeline destroyed any faith that the government wouldn't suck back up to our enemies.
Inflation has destroyed people's trust in the economists who claim there is no inflation.
Afghanistan has destroyed people's trust in the military command AND the military.
Combined with the Nasty Girl reaction to the Great Jogging, and people lost faith in the National Guard.
Whatever it was that was so important that Biden kept checking his watch destroyed faith in the Commander in Chief to at least care about the dead.
The audits are coming in and people are asking why the 2016 election needed audits, the Gavin Newsome recall needs audits, but an election that makes no sense doesn't? It destroyed people's faith in the elections.
Now, this, has completely destroyed people's faith in the government completely.
At NO point has the US government managed to re-establish faith in any of the organizations. They haven't put any fires out. The fires are still raging and they're busy lighting more yelling "THIS IS FINE THERE IS NO FIRE!" while people are still dealing with the burns from the last fire.
Afghanistan is still plain in people's minds. A COMPLETE failure of the US military and US military command.
THAT'S why the House and Senate are being so fucking quiet.
