I feel Alex would disagree with you, and he would feel really smart being wrong. It would be interesting if each Saikou was better than the last one in the line, with obvious differences. Maybe one defective model that only looks perfect.

...but that sounds like something someone who could write would make an interesting story about, rather than anything that would come out of Alex's pen.

I wouldn't really say "shuffling assets around." Half-assed as this new gamemode will be, he actually did something.

It's just that it's taking him around two weeks now for him to make the announcement video and releasing the update along with it.

No idea, just ran into it. I thought the voice sounded familiar and realized it halfway through; wanted to find it again to record it. I think it's unlisted from the game's official channel so I just had to keep refreshing ads on videos until I could find it again.

Other than money (he's making around 2k a month from patreon right?) I'm not sure why he'd do this. Is he struggling that bad?

This shit is nothing new, he's been doing this with other update before, yeah, that one with a picture of Ayano tied to a bed. He is just "hyping" something that no one asked for.

I don't know, sounds somewhat like him, but the voice is slightly tampered and doesn't sound as abrasive as his. He talked something about voicing audiobooks, but come on, his narration is excruciating.

It's a very similar voice to Alex, though assuming the recording hasn't been adjusted in some fashion I'd have to say it's probably not Alex. Not quite as deep or grating as Alex himself, but if it's not his voice it's probably the closest thing to it.

He is in fact reusing older assets. Take for example the barrel which is from the incinerator props pack.

However I'm sure he got new models made for him for this update but 90% are existing models that have been present in the 'game' for a long time now.
