Don't. This was a hell of their own making, a choice to let them retain power for decades. They helped create a Uniparty apparatus to ensure their own wealth and power while ignoring the citizens they were supposed to represent. They didn't pay the piper, and so now his song sings for more than rats.
I guess. I think we have reached a point where USA politics are more strange than fiction and somehow these parties turned into some weird hollywood flicks.
But while the republicans seem like a screw ball comedy with a wacko at the helm, the democrats turned into a sad finale of a Scroscesse gangster flick.
One of their oldest members, and a constant presence in the house, Pelosi, is now old with her body failing in front of us, trying as she must to keep the ship from sinking, only to deal with the nonsense spawned from the internet politcs, something she clearly despises and doesn't know how to do.
What was supposed to be their new political dynasty, the Clintons are now the subject of the biggest political humiliation in history. Bill is old and frail, and looks ready for the big Sleep, and Hillary is stun locked into bitterness and regrets.
Who was supposed to be the future of their party to lead and inspire new members, Obama, has pretty much cut himself off, as he cares only about his legacy as president and hanging out with celebrities. Vain and narcissistic, Obama has to be dragged kicking and screaming to endorse politicians and shake hands, as he think politics is beneath him. Whatever passion for change and making a difference Obama had was just a front, the man is shallow and capricious, who loves little else than himself.
And Biden, Biden was a mediocre man with big ambitions, he managed to stay put on a seat in the senate of a small state and for most of his career, he was a man of no consequence, and yet, there he was, always wanting the presidency, that legacy, wanting more than this this little mediocre with no charisma man was capable of, as the best he could be was to be a faceless white mask behind a man with a messianic message.
And yet, for some cosmic alignment, he managed to be president in a turn of events that he had little to nothing to do with it, all he had to do was not being the bloviating wacko playing at the other movie, and yet, as he got what he always wanted, his mind isn't with him anymore, and he is a shell of man, a walking mataphor for the rot that has becomes the US politics, and in the face of all that, all he could do is this:
Fade to black, Roll credits.
