Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

The reason why I say trump is the closest thing to the founding father energy is due to his being a rich man who didn't need to put himself out there but did so out of patriotism.
We have vastly different reads on Trump. I see him as a lucky, corrupt plutocrat who only got into office on the strength of brashness in the face of PC and the most utterly unlikeable opponent in election history.

I don't take his patriotism at face value.

You just ignored the entire section he spend mitigating the statement.
I take issue with the entire thing. I'd call him many things, but never in a million years 'genuine'.

but he was elected in 2004 and 2008 but did not finish the second
I don't see a reason for a but here? The rule is simply no three consecutive terms. There is otherwise no limit on the number of terms.

Don't take the bait, we usually get a few socks or trolls in here about now. I mean, come on, one of these guys has literally 11 posts in a year and a half, all troll comments. Obvious. Sock.

he is objectively worse off having stood for office.

I a retard that cant read. Now i guess my question is why does he have to jockey for the governors chair when he was really popular the last time?

Because the taint of the Democratic Party is upon him, and his constituents -hate- them. The guy currently in the governor's seat saw the writing on the wall and changed his affiliation to avoid it. Just by having that D in front of his name, he's at risk of being successfully primaried, despite his overall approval levels being mostly fine. It's that big of a mallus on him.

For some reason I'm reminded of people being content with letting trannies and pornstars represent the GOP.

I was on the side of "That is a poor choice".

I am of the opinion of “Don’t chase them away with torches and pitchforks, but don’t let them steal your thunder and get positions from the attention.“

They should be used as a “If these individuals are coming to US of all people, what is the other side doing to them!?” style of argument.

My more complicated view is: "Do not allow them into positions of power, unless they have ceased to engage in the untoward activity". Acceptance need not be the same thing as condonement. "I do not condone your actions, but I accept you as a fellow human being". If they have set down their untoward behavior, I see no reason to bar them entry to power. If they are still participants in it, I can accept their support, but cannot condone them having power.

It doesn't matter which party is in power. It's all fuckin' LOL's anyway. Biden is a dementia patient and Trump was a buffoon. And as a side... DEM'S and GOP's are so similar in their policies they are literally 2% apart.

Nothing will ever change (no real change) anyway. USA is and always will be tethered to a global market.

Shit is that bad huh?

Honestly, when Trump took over the Republican, I thought it was over for them, but it seems like a lot of politicians found a new life under Trump influence, if more so indirectly, like the Florida and Texas govs and even guys who were taken as a rino like Ted Cruz found himself in a new popular light.
Yeah, i know the republicans ain't all Trump, and a lot of them kicked him when he was down after he lost, but weirdly enough, it ssems like they are at least more coherent than whatever the fuck the dems are right now.

Is there any way for them to get rid justice dems and the whole "chic" socialism they preach? Because a lot of people would say that is the shit that killed any effectiveness of the Obama presidency, and it is poisoning the dems right now, you can't get anything done, if the thing you want to be done is virtually out of a reasonable grasp.

yeah, the dems have the vantage of the big corp media being on their side, and social media as well, but these don't perform miracles, and staying in this middle ground with a limp congress and a man who is clearly not fit for the presidency can't be good for them.

Very arguably. He left office with a base that still loves him (almost creepily so, if you look at patriots.win and the q-boomers) and a very real chance at a second shot.
To have Trump back in the White House would be so fuckin' funny. If the USA wasn't the laughing stock of the world already

Depends. Pornographers are too openly depraved on the producer side and the performers are fucked mentally. Allowing either of them into the party is sketchy. Soldiers might be killers but they served the nation. You cannot get rid of the moral filth that builds up through being in the pornography industry just by stopping activities associated with the industry. It's also a suicidal thing for a conservative party to have members of the least conservative industry influencing it in any way.

Obliviously, folks forget that Trump had the press at a national level and an international level against him. He, however, proved to be the dam when it came to foreign affairs. Nothing he had done in office compares to the irreparable damage our current President is doing in foreign affairs and locally. Trump originally was going to run as a Democrat but knew the establishment wanted to push Clinton forward. I don't think he's as "conservative" but more in line with traditional liberal before it was infected with leftist ideologies. The biggest flaw and the one that got him in the most trouble is the inability to have a filter. It's a true double edged sword.

Talking with normies this weekend it sure seemed like attempts at comparing 9/11 to 1/6 is backfiring and making people realize how at worst it was a riot, not an insurrection.

Plus I saw that photo from earlier with the kids in Trump hats, but this photo shows they were even wearing shirts. How stupid was this photo op by his handlers, it doesn't look bipartisan, he looks like he got trolled by kids. And look at the out of state fags still wearing their masks.

I try to be consistent in my application of my religious teachings. Christ allowed a whore to be in his entourage, and said that all men should be forgiven. If they have recanted their deeds, acknowledged their moral failings, who am I to stand in judgement of them?

Don't. This was a hell of their own making, a choice to let them retain power for decades. They helped create a Uniparty apparatus to ensure their own wealth and power while ignoring the citizens they were supposed to represent. They didn't pay the piper, and so now his song sings for more than rats.

I guess. I think we have reached a point where USA politics are more strange than fiction and somehow these parties turned into some weird hollywood flicks.

But while the republicans seem like a screw ball comedy with a wacko at the helm, the democrats turned into a sad finale of a Scroscesse gangster flick.

One of their oldest members, and a constant presence in the house, Pelosi, is now old with her body failing in front of us, trying as she must to keep the ship from sinking, only to deal with the nonsense spawned from the internet politcs, something she clearly despises and doesn't know how to do.

What was supposed to be their new political dynasty, the Clintons are now the subject of the biggest political humiliation in history. Bill is old and frail, and looks ready for the big Sleep, and Hillary is stun locked into bitterness and regrets.

Who was supposed to be the future of their party to lead and inspire new members, Obama, has pretty much cut himself off, as he cares only about his legacy as president and hanging out with celebrities. Vain and narcissistic, Obama has to be dragged kicking and screaming to endorse politicians and shake hands, as he think politics is beneath him. Whatever passion for change and making a difference Obama had was just a front, the man is shallow and capricious, who loves little else than himself.

And Biden, Biden was a mediocre man with big ambitions, he managed to stay put on a seat in the senate of a small state and for most of his career, he was a man of no consequence, and yet, there he was, always wanting the presidency, that legacy, wanting more than this this little mediocre with no charisma man was capable of, as the best he could be was to be a faceless white mask behind a man with a messianic message.

And yet, for some cosmic alignment, he managed to be president in a turn of events that he had little to nothing to do with it, all he had to do was not being the bloviating wacko playing at the other movie, and yet, as he got what he always wanted, his mind isn't with him anymore, and he is a shell of man, a walking mataphor for the rot that has becomes the US politics, and in the face of all that, all he could do is this:

I wouldn't call that a flaw. Getting people to spaz the fuck out over anything he said was pretty amusing. It's why people loved him on Twitter before Jack went mad with power and ban-hammered him.

I'd rather have a President that was real and said shit straight-up rather than the fake professional shit the country has had since Obama and below.

Trump's a grifter, but I don't think that means he doesn't have human complexity.
Let's put it this way. Trump cares about 3 things, in this order:
1. himself
2. Israel
3. America (maybe)

#3 isn't even on the list of any other candidate in recent decades. There's the difference.

Thats a good summary. The very reason he got elected cost him the next one. At a local level you can carry on like that, but at an international level you can't. Even a bit of contrition about some of his comments would have seen him win that last election.
