Is it sad that I don't even think Phil is clever enough to come up with a stupid nickname like "kiwifarts"

God, Phil getting dunked on has made me laugh. He wishes he was as popular or professional as anyone at Hololive.

I really think you’re overthinking things.
There’s no “hardcore gaming season” or sponsorsship play here. Khat is as indifferent as she ever has been.
It’s just Phil having a mini midlife crisis and serious worries.
At least on Twitch he had some discoverability, could maintain the illusion of having near 1000 subs and hundreds of viewers.
Fast forward to now: Some streams don’t even cross 200 viewers. No real sub growth. Yeah, whales are tipping, but will they when Phil crosses below 100 viewers on average.
Phil is stressed and lashing out.
On top of that he hasn’t had a win for a looong time. Not even Burger King respects him ffs. Phil’s ego has always been more important than money to him. He’s circling the drains, stacking up the Ls and knows it.

I think the answer is a definite yes.
Multiple studies have shown not just serious health risks associated with loneliness, but also cognitive decline, increased risk of dementia and a drop in IQ.
Which is exactly what we’re seeing. I’m sure everyone could up with their own example.
The only upside here? Once Phil’s streaming career has definetely sunk, he can be hired by the National
Institute of Health or something and get paid for participating in a multiple decade study on the effects of social isolation.

So basically people are saying, *SNORT*, right get this these insane shitheads over on kiwifarts are saying that *I* put cyan-ize, whatever that is, in people's drinks. Nyanners did randomly mention 'Darksydephil' when she was playing DS3 on stream a few months back, guess it took him a fucking long time, but maybe he's starting to get jealous about how much money vtubers are pulling in by browsing the cobweb covered gaming tab on YouTube and did some digging at the views and superchats.
He would be completely perplexed about how these avatar (or muppet) girls can genuinely enjoy what they do, Phil could only dream of having such an impression on people like Pekora or Coco have on their viewers, they're on a whole other level of passion and commitment compared to shut-out twitter account Burnell here.

I did hear about the Nyanners thing, although I barely follow non-Holo vtubers.
I'm guessing Phil is just coping right now as he does what you just mentioned, which sounds extremely reasonable.
His mind cannot even fathom the fact that there's people out there that play games for fun, talk with their chat and get donated thousands. And a bunch of them are actually awful at games, but manage to be entertaining.
Hell, some of them do appearances on podcasts or events, like Mori's upcoming PAX event or any of the holoJP lasses doing live 3D concerts.

Just don't get the angle to this Twitter thing. It can't be for the fans because Phil doesn't give a shit if one of his viewers gets called a fag for tweeting him. Locking everything down doesn't seem like the way to go to attract sponsorships or other money making opportunities.
My only guess is this is somehow a ploy to attract new wheelchairs to his stream. We've seen him trying to clout chase popping up in actual popular peoples comments with little if any success. Would make sense why his example to his viewers was retweeting his weekly schedule. Maybe the dopamine rush from hitting those goals is no longer blocking out the sad fact that 5 (being generous) people at most are willing to get him there. Can't comment on superchats other then it's for sure more then he deserves for his quality of content. The roster is looking a little thin going into hardcore gaming season maybe it's time to restock the bench.
