After the Lod scandal where the native Israeli Arabs rose up against the Jews there, there's been a concern about the Arab fifth Column and a belief among Palestinians that Israeli Arabs support their struggle. If Arabs from the historically Arab-friendly Lod/Yafa area rose up against the Jews, why wouldn't Israeli Arabs living in Nazareth which have a much worse relationship with Jews/Israeli government? If I was an escapee who didn't want to risk getting caught at a West bank checkpoint, I would also go to that area and ask for help because it seems to be the most logical course of action. They got unlucky because it turns out Israeli arabs aren't the fifth column Palestinians and right wing Israelis think they are. The prisoners got reported and the palestinians right now are seething because they consider the resident of Nazareth traitors for reporting the prisoners to the police.

There are some sympathizers, but by and large, their opinion of Palestinians is that of the rest of the Arab world, i.e. they don't give a fuck about them. They also aren't, by and large, enemies of Israel and wouldn't be living there if they were.
The bomb in a suicide vest doesn't care whether some of the people on the bus are Israeli Arabs, and people generally don't like being blown up by lunatics.

It's actually a huge advantage for them, they basically get a 4 year headstart on their careers on Jews, where they can basically graduate by the time they are done with service + gap year to wind down, and already get a job and start their career while most will graduate university by the time they are 25-26 while they do at 21-22

Racism against Arabs is real and unacceptable yeah, but the Palestinian ultranationalism and irredentism has became widespread amongst Arab Muslims and Christians, and it's not something Jews will ever accept as normal. They can't be shocked when they're met with censure and hostility.

I figured (and had always heard) that Christians in places like Syria and Iraq supported those dictators because the alternative (being ruled by insane Islamists and Jihadis) was worse than the current situation. Arab Christians literally gain nothing from supporting the Palestinian narrative and its in fact objectively worse than living in Israel.

Not really. Any Christians that have had to actually deal with the Jews in a manner in which Jewish influence is visible, will favor anything above Judaism. Even with the most radical versions of Islam, they'll just try to suppress Christianity to the point at which it doesn't interfere with Islam. Judaism on the other hand seeks to outright destroy Christianity. Muslims don't infiltrate the Church in order to seek out and destroy even the most faithful followers of Christ, Jews do.
