Not much to say, but I did get to vote in the California recall election today (the State is doing everything they can to get people to vote -staying open late, hand-waving people in with minimal ID checks, etc). While I feel content to have voted, the checking/verifying the polling volunteers were (not) doing shocked me. Almost a “when in doubt, fill ballot and we’ll check later”. I would not be surprised if non-residents (legal or not) were being “accidentally” allowed to vote.
But still, Cuomo got outsted, discontent towards Dems is at an all-time high among independents and Republicans (while Dems are at all-time high apathy — the adds for no recall prominently feature Sleepy Joe and Copmala, along with non-Californian Dems like Elizabeth Warren and Bernie, which seems like a bad idea for something local). We’ll see what happens…
