At least in the states, albeit in a civil war, they could move, survive, wait for the dust to settle and live a better life with more opportunities for their kids.

When the cities are collapsing into food riots and general mayhem, they'll just sidle in to try riding out the martial law and hope that afterwards the gibs-giving government will return? Or they'll head into the insular, rural states that are already suspicious of outsiders, where there is less cover to hide in and still no food because corn and milk is reserved for townspeople that are known and trusted? Seems like a stretch.

And we are also assuming that they manage to cross the border at all, the border states might go full military lockdown and shoot anyone or anything that tries to cross with the ample supplies at their NG bases. (All the ammunition plants and most weapon factories are in rural states/areas by the way.) Mexico, not wanting to get involved, might even clamp down on their side just to try and keep from contributing to the chaos.

The whole posited scenario is just super unlikely. People flee from war zones, not into them, for very good reasons.

The US Military. An organization that throughout the Cold War prided itself in being able to deploy entire divisions across the Atlantic to Europe within a moment's notice. Unable to leave a place they had been stationed at for damn near two decades. They're telling us that during that time no one made any plans, there were no contingencies, and no one had any idea how to proceed. They're admitting to a staggering level of incompetence.

In saner times, a lot of high-ranking people have would been court-martialed over this shit.

Funny. I recall a few former Trump admins claiming on TV during the whole Afghanistan shitshow that there were plans in place or nearing completion to meet the May 1st deadline and that Biden, or at least his adminstration, killed the plans.

FBI Fires Lead Agent in Whitmer Kidnapping Case​

The FBI agent credited with foiling Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s kidnapping plot no longer works for the agency after he was charged with allegedly smashing his wife’s head into a nightstand and choking her after a swingers’ sex party.

The Detroit News first reported the firing of former Special Agent Richard Trask, 39, who took the public face of the investigation, testifying in court.

However, the FBI dropped Trask as a witness aftersocial media posts calling former President Donald Trump a “douchebag” and other expletives surfaced.

The firing is another blow to the credibility of at least a dozen confidential informants planted within the Whitmer kidnapping plot, some who allegedly hatched the plan and another who rose to second-in-command of the group.

In March, prosecutors also indicted an informant the Detroit News reported helped the FBI infiltrate the alleged conspiracy.

Five alleged kidnappers are scheduled to stand trial on Oct. 12. The defendants, however, maintain the government set them up. One defense attorney alleges an FBI agent told a paid confidential information to lie, delete messages between them, and implicate an innocent third party.

The deceit continues to blur the line between who was an FBI agent, confidential informant, or an extremist and which group fueled the conspiracy.

Ty Garbin, 25, has been the only alleged extremist to plead guilty to the plot, and was sentenced to six years and three months in prison.

I know California is pretty pozzed, but I hear that's mostly the big cities (of which there are a lot), with other regions being less so. Hell, NoFX used to sing about wanting to burn Orange County down, so I'm guessing they're conservative over there? I know California has had a long time to "fortify" their elections against the possibility of people making the wrong decision (i.e., throwing the bastards out), but is it to the point that they could afford to rig it? Or is it just a case that it's just not feasible to throw out a Democrat after this much fortification?

For reference, the 2020 election adopted the Californian election system nationwide, and you saw the results then and now with people going to polling places and told they've voted.

The point has been made: if they are sending out 20 ballots to people based on old and outdated voting records and there are no consequences because noone checks the signitures and the media covers for you, why wouldn't they cheat? Would you expect a crazy wine furbaby owner aunt to think rationally about politics, or be fueled by Trump hatred so much, she would fill out those ballots gladly to "save democracy and decency"?

There's a point that this shit is so obvious for cheating, but no one will do anything because "it'll hurt brown people" is literally slapped on anything that Democrats oppose, even when no argument exists for the claim.

If you've never tried to join up rails in the field, you wouldn't understand how useful thermite it. I had to hear all about it at lunch from a co-worker, who is a literal train autist. Apparently it's the only way they were able to make reliable train systems cost-effective.
