I would say he was having fun before EvilAJ made TIHYDP popular. It seems like, especially in the last couple years, DSP has done everything possible to not let those go viral again even at the expense of, quite frankly, his actual business. That's why he uses walkthrough and disables comments and refuses to explore anything he isn't certain about.

And scared to play anything that needs anything refering to player skill. So much for pushing himself a "reactionary" gamer when he can't do anything on reaction.

Just wanted to give a quick update on my little youtube experiment. Channel is going surprisingly strong given all I'm doing is clipping absolutely raw DSP moments, sometimes with chat, and posting them up with thrown together half baked thumbnails. Today I hit 335 subscribers with 301 of those gained within the past 28 days alone. Let's check up on how my videos are doing compared to a DSP video with the same content but also gameplay and all that shit:

Literally just a 9 minute clip from the same video and while DSP can barely get 600 views the clip gets nearly 9k views. In case there was any question how popular detractor content is compared to DSP's shit I hope there's little to no doubt now. Detractors outnumber fans by the thousands, though we already knew that.

I started this channel mostly just for fun and to get the clips of DSP that I wanted to see that others might miss. I really don't think I'm doing anything special here, the channel's success really speaks more to the passion of the awesome detractor community who have been very welcoming and excited to have another comment section to laugh at Phil in.

He's having fun whenever there's money coming in. The problem is that it is obvious that most people don't give a shit when he's just having a "chill" stream and hitting the tips goal. He would still have a much larger audience if he could put his ego aside and play things where he knows he's going to suck at it. His ego just won't let him embrace it though. Even when he tried to embrace TIHYDP he had to call it "The best and worse moments" or some shit. He can't stand being the butt of the joke, no matter how much relevancy it would bring him. The most damning thing of his current irrelevancy is that no one even bothers to make TIHYDP videos anymore.


If he truly wants to "save the business" he needs to embrace the suck. Play game genres that he's horrible at and ones that cause the most rage. Platformers, stealth, racing, fps multiplayer, fighting games. Stop the chill stream boring bullshit. The only thing that makes him happy (besides mobile wrestling games) is attention and money, and playing things he knows he's going to suck at is the only way he is going to achieve this.

Glad to see more detractor content doing well. But, did Phil ever explain what the emergency with Kat was? It can't be anything life changing since he hasn't used it to bleed the paypigs. Or it is and he won't say anything because he is having flashbacks to the Pandalee's emergency video and the shit he rightly deserved for posting that.

Don't misunderstand Phil didn't actually learn a lesson it's just criticism probably is the equivalent of putting a shock collar on a dog for him. He didn't actually learn not to be an asshole he just remembers the pain of justified criticism.

The fact that he is the barometer for how shit of person you need to be to be cancelled even now continues to get under his exoskeleton. He's been the butt of every internet joke since the incident, even of other lolcows. He wants a victory on his terms, one he will never get.

The number of times he's attempted to rebrand, from "chill" to his attempt to alter his Twitter shows this. He can tell that no one buys it except the wheelchairs and it must be killing him, given how he responds on twitter.

I don't think he explained it at any point which makes me even more suspicious of it. That whole segment was weird, it reminded me of being 17 and rapidly texting a girlfriend so she didn't dump me because I had fucked up. Not saying that's what happened, I have no clue what happened, but that's the vibe it gave me. Whatever it is he really doesn't want us to know about it for some weird reason when he's shared so much other dumb shit. My honest guess: It's something that makes him look bad.

Kind of unfair comparison considering that one is an hour long mostly boring gameplay video, and the other is a nine minute quickie video on mental retardation in adults on the spectrum, Lolol!

Your video starts off with DSP talking in a stern voice to Jasper, as if he was a puppy or human child, and then in an exasperated voice goes: “He’s not listening in any capacity whatsoever!”

ITS A FUCKING CAT, PHIL!! (Yes, some cats can be trained. I’ve seen cats that act more like a dog, follow the owner everywhere and come whenever called, but that’s pretty rare!)

Fuck, imagine getting a pet whiteout doing the least bit of research!

When I had my first pet, I was around ten and borrowed several books from the library to prepare me. And that was “just” a budgie. (Kind of a mini parrot)

Phil though? A grown fucking man who likes to preach how a pet is almost like having a child and getting a “cat son” without apparently knowing fuck all about them.

EDIT: I wonder what views Phil would get if he swallowed some pride and did the least bit of effort, by cutting off part of the prestream into a nine minute chunk like you did? (He obviously wouldn’t call it “wife problems”, lol!

My bet is that he would get thousands of views from detractors willing to see the funny bits who aren’t religious about not giving him a click. His discoverability is slipping but still better than the smaller detractor channels, so his video might come before yours in search.

Alas in the Phils eternal battle of greed vs. laziness and ego, the latter wins 9 out 10 times.

I actually wonder if DSP would even accept it if someone like OIC offered to make 10 minute compliations for DSP for free of his daily gameplay? DSP is so set in his ways and determined that everything he does is correct, that he might legitimately not even want to post edited videos even if someone did it for free.

I mean, think about how many Youtube channels there are for DSP and Wings detractors, yet no actual fans are making a "good highlights" channel? In before "that's impossible", but you get the idea.

DSP is so addicted to his Youtube channel the way it is that he turns off the music for every game just so he can make ad revenue on these 1K view "raw videos" when he would make more in tips by just playing the music during the stream.

He mentioned that he missed the raid and guessed everyone left because they couldn't chat and that was the end of that. No reflection on how he missed an opportunity to grow right there.

EDIT 2: Are games on Gamepass even included in the charts? Seems a bit strange if they are, since you’re not paying for the game but a subscription. 10 million people downloading a game cause it’s “free” and 10 million people forking over 70$ to download a game doesn’t seem comparable.

I wish your scene dialog was an actual DSP stream, just so some whalechair can start spamming (maybe even Derish king of wheelchairs and shoutouts) Bullet Bill at him over and over until he has to pig snort and say, "well ack-choo-elly, you're correct, but Mario doesn't shoot them," only to get reminded he throws hammer brother hammers with magnum force on impact of anything they touch too. I find it very interesting that he only started revealing the tip before the break until after we started talking about how scummy the whole practice was. A few months back. Now it's always before the break. I also find it very interesting that BobbaJo only ever started making an appearance at the same time. It had always been OMM/SB before that.

@Piece of Peace has been doing the spreadsheet since April but this "behind the scenes" scam has been happening for over a year. The thing is: while Phil was still on Twitch, it'd be more of a rarity that the ***$100*** tips goal wasn't hit by the time he got back from break at 15:00pst and so the shady tip wouldn't make much of an appearance.

But for the last few months, it's God damn near every day that this shady tip appears and ONLY DOESN'T when he has some whale hitting the goal immediately like what happened last week with the return of OroTurtle.

Additionally, after Froggah brought up the missing tip on the boards last week, there was a phantom, one-time-only Hugh Jazz with a $20something tip. So, whoever is in cahoots with Phil, is an active Farms reader.
