Agreed. If there were a better place, most of the regulars ITT would be there, instead. Quite a few of us have alts just for this topic. I cannot fucking believe a Farms topic is the most level-headed, well-informed, organically optimistic place to talk about vtubers on the open Internet but this is the fucked up world we live in. It's low on hololive cultists, it allows roommate discussion and there's no needlessly aggressive oshi dickmeasuring wars. Cross-company discussion goes on relatively smoothly and you even see the odd "I don't watch X but that was pretty cute, good link" shit where people are just sharing and having fun. Seriously, if there's a better place to talk about almost retarded cute girls, please link us so we can hurry along there. It just doesn't exist.

She's had that for quite a long time. I think the Russian in her description dates back from this stream in late January.

Vast majority of her comments are also in Russian, including Russian Timestamps. I do notice some of her videos have 0 comments, which I've noticed happens for Nene as well and seems like 100% a YouTube issue.

She seems to have added some triggers to her Elgato for when people do certain value Superchats (from my limited Japanese understanding).

She clearly doesn't have any genuine passion for what she does either, and is just exploiting people desperate for female attention to garner easy cash! This is by far the best place. No shit-flinging with other people's opinions unless they are actually fucking stupid, and sometimes you can discover new Vtubers that might interest people such as Pippa which I found through the Farms. It's cool that the rest of the Farms let all of us sort of stay in our little corner.

I like this place because it actually feels like a real community, and it gives credit to where it is due.

To add to this: I made a dumb mistake of actually reading comments on /vt/ (instead of only looking at and saving artwork of high cultural value) and many people consider the Umisea collab as "forced" and don't like it. Mario Party collab wasn't the perfect one that's for sure, but it was enjoyable, for the first time we have seen these particular holomem playing together, we get few episodes of cute series (I will take this kind of "lore" over HoloCouncil stuff anytime) and possibly a song/merch and a possibility of other unique pairings. As of now the positives greatly outweight negatives in my opinion.

Much to Irys' benefit that she debuted when she did while there was pent-up demand for more EN talent. Her uncanny design is even less appealing now that there's Council to compare to, and I think it's pretty clear that subscriber saturation is happening among the EN audience with their demand being sated.

It was cute. I don't care if it was "forced" or not, as I like the pairing... but I will say as someone with almost no JP knowledge it was just a collection of cute sounds all mixed together in my ears and something you had to actively watch to understand.

My personal perspective is that this place is, above all else, fair. Talk some shit, get called on it. Bring some cool shit in for everyone to enjoy, get appreciated for it. Act dumb, get called dumb. Stick out like an autistic thumb, get hammered down like one. Most of all, there's no 'seekrit ajenda' you have to bow down to or you get ostracized and shunned right the fuck out out because 'your wrongthink bad'. Opinions are judged realistically (for the bunch of weirdos that we are, anyways), and you basically create your own karma here and earn what you deserve. This may be a shithole, but it's the only fair shithole around.

I've never gotten a reaction I didn't deserve here, and if I did, I didn't give a shit about it. Because it's all just opinions, and we're here to have fun, not prove our interweb superiority over each other. So I'll lurk around until Null sells this place to Microsoft and it becomes the official Tay 3.0 database...unless that already happened and I didn't notice.
