Didn't this place have several pages ranting about chumcucks tight over Gura's rigging, and several more about Calli having fun with a real person? And then more pages confused over Pippa's social awkwardness in groups?

Depends on how you see said things. Calling out a shit rigging job is perfectly justified. Especially when they do it multiple times in a row and somehow keep getting hired. Everyone had an issue with that. Not just chumbuds. It just gets annoying when they keep ragging on it.

The shit with Calli wasn't necessarily about her. People just really hate Gigguk and will shit on anything he does, whether it's with Calli or not.

Pippa is just..Pippa.

Take any of those situations on another site and the discussions would have been much worse. People are entitled to opinions here, other sites don't allow such blasphemy.

I hope she gets a model redesign/update soon the same way AZKI did (and hope it doesn't take them eons to get to it). Being alone without genmates is bad enough - having her stand-out with the different art-style is just jarring.

I do like that she played a lot with Kronii and Baelz last night in MC and showed some really good chemistry with them. She'll probably interact with Council more given how loaded Myth's schedules probably are with projects.

Being the best place for discussion doesn't mean it's consistently pristine. That's why we have the 'dumb', 'autistic', etc stickers for the community to call out that kind of faggotry (and we deserve to get tagged with it every now and then when we get a tad too autistic ourselves).

I may have worded it wrong by saying that the farms might not be the best for Vtuber discussion because of how few choices are out there. Glass half empty kind of scenario here. Yes, the farm is the best place for the current discussions the thread has had given the current options out there. The only other option is a Discord server with a very carefully curated members list, which is too much work imho (and I know of 2 Kiwicords that I guess kinda fill this niche role). The only reason the thread hasn't gone to shit is because the thread self polices pretty well and/or the threat of glorious leader Jersh snapping us again if we didn't.

Like realistically, how many of you would have imagined one of the biggest threads on the farms is offtopic, multimedia thread about 2D avatars voiced by anti-social, anxiety filled girls (and guys.. but male Vtubers are so few and in between). Now how many of you would have used the farms if the thread didn't exist in the first place. Now how many of you would have believed me or anyone if we told you the one place to have a fair, almost no hold barred discussion about any topic about a Vtuber is here without someone trying to censor you or random autism shitting it up halfway.

Anyways, have a Korone going rawr rawr. I wasn't even watching the actual video but the audio just had me grinning like a retard.

I dunno, man. When I look at SomethingAwful and they encounter topics like these, they usually come the most reasonable conclusion immediately and then move on. And yeah, they called out the shitty rigging on Gura, but they kept the cancerous chumbuds on /vt/ out of it.

But I will say that the main advantage of this forum is roommate discussion. It's great to have that while clear of obsessive stalker fans, or Hololive purists breathing down your neck.

Selen's team actually won one of the matches today. Granted it wasn't a full 20-man lobby due to it being Patch Day, which is notorious for breaking the game, but still required lots of professional decision-making in order to outmanoeuvre teams like Restya, RPR, Tempplex, and Virtual Gorilla. They're quite a deceptively decent team.

There are actually a decent amount, and more importantly there are a decent amount of people who only clip one Niji. Just today I found someone whose been chipping out Hayama Marin clips for over half a year now. They just don't get a lot of views and the algorithm certainly doesn't favour them. Niji clippers are the true rabbit hole.

Yeah your mileage is going to vary on that kind of content. I don't think I could handle 70 minutes of cute noises and a very palpable language barrier, so imagine my shock that it was actually pushed by Cover and there's like 5 more of them just this week.

I can only surmise that someone in the Marketing department has seen the amount of traction, fanart, and fervour HoloBirds gets and has decided that they want another themed group with more marketable members.

And while I personally don't care much about 'artificial' groups — nor do I care much about the opinions of a 4ch board that has a hobby of spending hours placing 'bets' on livestream viewer count predictions — I can see why some people may feel it's a step too far in a community that has, up until now, always had a more symbiotic relationship with the streamers regarding how these wacky group/ship names come about in the first place.

Edit: I can only speak on what I've seen from other sites, but I find it ironic if UMISEA is getting heavily pushed by management and all anyone was focused on was A-chan carrying the stream. Give her her own fucking channel already. Christ.

I'll be honest. I forget IRyS exists as part of EN half the time. Party because her design is so jarringly different and the other half because she feels so separated from the group with no real genmates. Its a shame because I really do like her voice and personality. I agree that a model update to put her more in line with the others would be great. I love Redjuice, but his art does not fit with the rest.
