2) Tess is alive and trying to escape her online infamy/people she owes money to and therefore is unlikely to resurface while interest is still high.

NachoDoggo (munchie on the zoosadism threads) was shown to have faked her death months ago and still hasn't resurfaced even after every part of her story was debunked and one of her own friends confirmed she was alive. I’m interested to see how or if the future of medical fraud will eventually change to legally punish people for things like this. TikTok and “sickstagram” culture is creating a whole generation of pretenders, many of whom directly profit from crowdfunding money to pay for treatments that are completely made up (and never happen), or medical equipment that is wholly unnecessary (fancy customized wheelchairs decked out in gear are a very popular ”flex” right now).

Tess getting Patreon involved in her pay-me-for-being-sick, now “maybe dead” scheme seems like it could come with actual legal repercussions if she isn’t, in fact, gone. I don’t understand what prevents people from just DFE their accounts with no explanation and hiding under a rock for six years when they get overwhelmed with their con rather than faking a death. Either method, the result is that they won’t get attention and can’t interact with people who feed their need for attention/sympathy. Is it because certain people just absolutely can’t give up without one last “mega dose” of sympathy from people who will morn them? I’m just fascinated by people who are in that deep.

I've been basing my assumption of Tess probably being actually dead on her brother's IG post. The account seems real, so if she's not dead then either he was tricked or he's in on the hoax. At this point, that's the only reliable source I've seen. Tess's online friends are iffy at best. I don't trust anyone who claims they've called the funeral home because y'all clearly have terrible judgement and need to stop touching shit.

Here's a video from 8/31, I believe that was reposted by @just_lizzy_b on TT from Tess. It adds nothing new, just the last video I know of.

Also, today was Chelsea's hysterectomy day. So far no updates on that.

Whenever internet attention whores (munchies, malingerers, mental health forum dwellers, suicide baiters, etc) claim to be dead I'm skeptical by default because it's always conveniently when the heat is being turned up on them or they are on the hook for something that people won't let go. The biggest tell for me is usually a "friend" coming on their accounts announcing they're dead. Who on this planet has a loved one fucking die and the first thought in your mind is "oh shit, better get on their devices, log into every social media account and forum they have bookmarked and let the internet randos she may have interacted with know she's dead"? Legit no one fucking does that, there is so much to take care of when a family member dies on top of the emotional upheaval, no one's tracking down the Discord servers or whatever they may have liked to post on because who fucking cares.

I don't think munchies/malingerers are that high in number, certainly there are WAY more self-diagnosed mental illness people who think it is necessary or in any way a good idea to define yourself by it and mention it first thing in your Twitter bio, and I don't know if that counts. Where that comes in with the crowdfunding scams is the "pay for my housing and living expenses in a **safe space** because I am 'disabled'/a tranny whose parents finally said, you're fucking 25, get a job or gtfo and also take a shower" and their "disability" is usually depression and anxiety or some other trivial shit (maybe entirely made up) that they are just wallowing in and doing everything possible to make it worse to dodge responsibility.

At this point I consider more or less all crowdfunding for personal expenses to be a fucking scam until proven otherwise. I might donate or attend a benefit for people I know well enough to privately see whether they actually need it and aren't blowing cash on all kinds of extravagant shit while claiming they can't afford medical care or necessities. For strangers who cook up a sob story and use it to try and demand money out of me, everyone has fucking problems and I am not a social worker, get bent. Anyone who donates to these grifters kind of deserves to get ripped off. I am an asshole I suppose but aggressive bums, lazy entitled fucks and balls out liars have made me lose all patience with beggars.

Today, our friend Victoria-who claims the munchie combo platter plus hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia, supranumary kidney, former conjoined twin, and two sets of mitochondrial DNA- is so so sick with metastatic cancer she got from a botched surgery to remove a non cancerous pheochromocytoma but no meanie doctor will really believe her or treat her. So weird because I’ve never ever heard about anyone with stage 3 or 4 cancer having difficulty with doctors believing there’s something wrong.
Also worth mentioning- she said in the comment section of one of her previous posts that she and her doctors have no idea how hereditary hemorrhagic telangiectasia affects her; that’s a super weird claim because a cursory google search shows that, uh, bleeding from the nose and digestive tract and cerebral hemorrhage are pretty clear first signs. I love it when munchies claim an illness without even researching it first
