Today's Patch 9.1.5 PTR build includes a surprise update to two very obscure paintings from vanilla. While one has had its sexuality toned down, the other painting has been replaced entirely.

The lounging lady could be found in Ravenholdt, while the robed woman's portrait is located in Stormwind's SI:7.
WoW contains a lot of paintings which were added in the original (vanilla) versions of the game, and while some of seem out of place with WoW's fantasy aesthetic, many are actually references to real life works of art. While the only images changed so far are these two very obscure paintings found in Ravenholdt and Stormwind's SI:7, it would seem that Blizzard is making an attempt to reduce the amount of sexualization within the game, similar to the change to Jaina Proudmoore's hero art in Hearthstone. There aren't a whole lot of pictures like this within the game, so it's unlikely that players would even notice the change if not for datamining, though it does raise questions as to whether other sexualized content such as the demonic
Succubus model or
Steamy Romance Novels might also be changed at some point. Combined with other changes such as
rewriting the infamous dialogue between Garrosh and Sylvanas in Cataclysm, it all points to a slow but gradual shift within WoW.
