La Palma is rumbling - What are the implications of a 40 foot Tsunami along the east coast?

Yellowstone, North Korea, the Economy. I didn't choose the doompilled life. The doompilled life chose me
See this is the problem with negative nihilism.
Life could end at any moment, bud. You could die in a car crash or building collapse tomorrow, a meteorite could hit the Earth or some derka-derka could get their hands on a fat one, like THE fat one, and decide its time to usher in the final day of judgment on all us unlucky infidels.

Life could end? So what?
Nothing matters. So what?
You're still here, fucking enjoy it.

The real doom is the society we built along the way.
This guy gets it.

I don't think this would be covered by any insurance that people on the US east coast would have. It could fall under three disaster categories. Volcanic, Earthquake or Flood. The first two are very regional specific and third is not offered by private insurers at all. Thr insurance companies would be fine. Everyone else would be fucked.

This would specifically fall under flood coverage, since it would be flooding doing the damage. For example, if flood waters rise and cause a power line to short out and cause a total loss fire to your house, your homeowners insurance would cover you for the fire damage. But if flood waters flooded your basement out, you'd be SOL.

There is a limited private flood industry in the US, but an overwhelming majority is covered through FEMA and their NFIP coverage that people generally only buy because their mortgage makes them.

Regardless, the Fed would step in and give everyone free Biden Bucks to rebuild or hand out emergency loans that are comically easy to never pay off - once again fucking over the Rubes who were smart enough to buy the flood insurance in the first place. Niggers would then spend their Biden Bucks on cars while living in flooded out houses.

From Sylvia Browne's book, The Other Side And Back -

In 2026, the West Coast, parts of the East Coast, and large portions of Japan will be hard hit by devastating tsunamis, or tidal waves. As a result of these tsunamis, a large new land mass will emerge among the Hawaiian Islands.

Atlantis will begin to reappear in 2023 and be fully visible by 2026.

Sylvia was full of Grade-A bologna but I'm just quoting it I don't actually care if it is true.

Pretty sure Atlantis was in what is now Mauritania so an awful lot of African desert would have to flood to recreate what Plato described.

My personal prediction? IF La Palma has a volcano under it becoming active, it will drizzle the tiniest slowest amount of lava possible and not so much as raise the temperature of the surf around the island.

It'd be interesting if I'm wrong though.
Plato was talking in allegory, not in actual historical fact, his descriptions of the island were to back up the premise of his story and lend weight to the message and ideas he was pushing in his dialogue, not actual historical fact. Every supposed 'Atlantis' basically fails the test to be such. It ain't real.

With what government and what economy? You underestimate the size of this thing. We'd be picking up the pieces for decades at the shortest.

Maybe if you hear about it when everyone else does and you end up trying to panik pack and etc., but my family is on alert and ready to jump in their cars and drive to safety the moment things go South. I don't see how they would be stranded or stuck in an unsafe location if they leave right away??
You can have them keep an eye on the sensor bouys rather than the news if you're really worried. They ping for potential tsunami waves.

Nice, I have almost four years to get myself to higher ground.

Maybe it will wipe out a bunch of Gen Z in the process, those LGTQIABC+ folk. That would be nice to not have to hear about their autistic sperging on social media or YouTube.
Can’t wait to hear that the volcano will be more deadly to POC and LBQT+ people than to regular white people.

Prepare for a metric fuckton of "This is the last thing this person recorded before they died" videos. Just like in 2004.

Two weeks to flatten the curve island
Ironically the land slid causing this massive catastrophe will make the island steeper

Edit to avoid double posting:

Earthquakes are slowing down too soon to tell if its a calm before the eruption or the magma flow has stopped
