In a word, yes.
If you haven't been throughout the country, this is a wonderful country. Get away from certain cities, and get away from the mainstream media, and you do find people not just upholding American values, but living those values.
"Woke" is NOT an American value, but treating everyone with courtesy and respect IS an American value. An American value is "the rising tide lifts all boats", NOT "tear down one group so another might be able to advance". An American value is that the decision to be vaccinated is an individual choice, not a mandate. An American value is to show the benefit of being vaccinated, and straightforwardly answering questions and addressing concerns, instead of demonizing the unvaccinated. An American value is to take no shit from oppressive assholes masquerading as "elected officials".
Wanting only LEGAL immigrants into the country is an American value. Welcoming LEGAL immigrants into the country is an American value. The more LEGALLY here, the merrier, keeps the country young compared to China and Japan.
Perhaps the ultimate American value is never accepting that wrong is right. Wrong has never been right, and shall never be right. Those who push the "wrong is right" bullshit are acting in direct opposition to American values, and merit only Americans' contempt.
