Our girls are growing up so fast...

This is what I'm talking about. After reading it again, I'm convinced they are just going to do a male Hololive gen underneath the hololive EN branch rather than having a StarsEN branch. Hopefully any EN boys we get will have at least some JP skills so they can do some nice collabs with the JP boys.
On the other hand, I believe the only video announcement they posted was on the Holostars channel (meanwhile the Holo EN channel is collecting dust)

I think they're probably keeping all options open and will figure out what to do with them later. Personally I'd be very surprised if they get put in the main EN branch- it will suck for Holostars to have to compete with EN for views, and they'd be missing a good opportunity to grow the Holostars brand. (but weighing both options, they'd almost certainly be more successful in the main branch)

Have some archives of Day 1

The problem with Moona is that her own character is holding her back : her persona is supposed to have the stoic unexpressive face syndrome with half open eye so it clashes with her song and moves which I would better see in non vtuber concert.
Super expressive faces like Nene, Subaru or even Suisei don't have this dissonance.
The gap moe is most deadly for someone with Moona personality tbh.

The only Holo girl whose avatar hold herself back is IRyS. IRyS fanarts ironically is helping IRyS as character harder than the original due to fanartists simplifying the designs and make it more anime. I think IRyS need a character revamp like AZKi.

Finally had time to sit down and have literally just finished Holofes Day 1. I have the biggest shit eating grin going still, I didn't go on the internet all day just so I could be surprised by the EN/ID models and I'd be lying if I didn't shed a tear when Ina-chan came on...

Korone did a flip, Miko performed one of my fav songs, Nene was Nene, Felt super proud to see EN 3D, Moona fucking GOT MOVES, Back to back Suisei songs and T-shirts

I had a fucking good time lads. Hopefully be here live for Day 2

I really didn't know all of this about idol culture and concert protocol. It clears a lot of things but also doesn't make me feel better about it. Though I am an outsider who's only here for the games, schizo talks, and cute shenanigans so you do you Nippon.

Honest question, is all of the strict order used to prevent weirdos from harassing the performers or is it just the Japanese culture or some mixture?
Its okay man, we've all been there with that culture shock
Does anyone else not think it was completely retarded to announce Holostars Gen 4 but not provide links to their channels or social medias (neither of which seem to even exist yet)?

Like, the BIG TWEET is the announcement. That's where you funnel the impressions towards the links. Gen 4 have already lost that initial burst.
If you actually do read the tweets, they already mentioned it was supposed to be just a teaser, just a PV, so its not meant to be a BIG TWEET announcement yet. So there's still a chance they planned something bigger for the actual debut announcement
I think with Stars gen 4 they were forced to show off the designs because they appeared at the booth in the expo, but im thinking they will probably have another announcement with debut dates and channel links later. Im guess that the gen isn't ready to debut but they decided to show it off early.

Read the first line in this post
Yeah, this is most likely the case, riding the attention and hype of the HoloFest to remind the people that new Holostars Gen is still a thing. Not surprising, honestly, they probably will debut on April at the start of the new Fiscal Year

Maybe I’ve drunk too much scotch, but Ame looked great in her 3D model. I always forget about the syringes around her upper leg. Good shit.

Ina looked amazing, as always.

Absolutely how I feel.

That blows my mind that fans would make themselves be muzzled, and I don't just mean the masks, to the point where they don't even sing along.

It's not even that they have harsh rules in the crowds, they're just that polite. It's really interesting to see.
I went to a music festival in Tokyo a bunch of years ago and during a Mariko Goto DJ set the mic cable ended up wrapped around a pillar in the room. She just gave the mic to a dude in front who nicely passed it around until it came back around the pillar and to the stage. Not a single guy even pretended to be about to say anything into it.

Never saw a single phone in the hands of a single person either.

Are you listening to yourself?

I don't think the new gen is ready for a debut at all. Like, they still need months for a debut kinda thing. We have no twitter, no channels, no voices, except for character design and introduction.
I'm lead to believe they're doing something similar to some auditions they (and Nijisanji) have had in the past where they show character designs or previews of character designs + small character profiles to show what character options they can choose from, I guess. Though, it's done a bit weirdly here neither company have went to the extent of making a video trailer, for the empty models - just preview images in the audition forms or a random site article or two.

I wanna be hopeful, but I'm kind of starting to lean towards the rrats saying Holostars auditions were announced despite the branch getting the short end of the stick all these years because Cover saw how male vtubers can be profitable to the same level as the HoloENs were when handled right.

We know that Cover isn't making the best decisions sometimes. I wouldn't see it past them to actually have that kind of logic.

Can someone explain to me what the fuck the voice every Vtuber makes is supposed to be? Are they trying to sound like a child? Is it just bad modern anime voice acting? Is it a voice filter? They all do it and I hate it and I just want to know what I am hating.
What the fuck are you talking about?

As @Scuttle says, here you go: https://www.twitch.tv/zentreya god help you.
