His thoughts on education and pedagogy is a topic I would not have thought to discuss, but I find it more interesting (and less horrifying) than others, at present.

In the past Nick has held up the fact that public school is 'professional babysitting' and that the argument for socialisation--especially in high school--is flawed because the cultivated high school pettiness is something that adults have to drop before moving to uni or careers.

He has also stated that a proper education for subjects that matter can be taught in much less time with a smaller, more focused groups. This leaves more time for other developmental activities like art, music, programming, and other skills that may turn into a lifelong passion or career.

He has encouraged his children (who want to be streamers) to do something with music together and or programming. The boys (at least one) is very technically gifted and will likely end up in a science field. They program in Roblox and Minecraft.

I have no comment on the 80 mile comment bemused the fact that or is about half that round-trip from home to the Church, back, then to the dance studio and back.

To the best of knowledge, Nick never made that argument at any point prior to this. He's claimed to be a lot of things over the years that turned out to be false: Trad, based, redpilled, wholesome, Christian, monogamous, intelligent, a friend, a man, et cetera.

The distinction in you and @John Andrews Stan 's position, informally, is one of result-based morality and process-based.
