AI Derangement Syndrome / Anti-AI artists / Pro-AI technocultists / AI "debate" communities - The Natural Retardation in the Artificial Intelligence communities

I love the "no AI training" watermarks because no one actually reads those. Scrapers don't OCR your art and look for that. It's meaningless.
It's partially just the new OC DONUT STEEL but I think the aggressive watermarking is explicitly to mess with AI training so it sarts putting text on characters and shit, or just misunderstands the image. I doubt it would work, but I believe that's the idea.

On one side there's the buttblasted tryhard "artists" who are barely past crayon drawings, but on the other I'm really fucking tired of all the scammers trying to past shitty AI stuff as art and pretending to charge for it, X is fucking flooded with it. I'm literally just a hobbyist and even I can do better than these losers but they flood the fucking place and of course don't put any AI hashtags on their spam.

The only way it'd have a chance of working is if every image is the same size and puts the watermark in the same place. That's not happening.

I can already tell there will be a sizeable number of users who will straight up nuke all their works so the "evil AI" won't be able to copy them (it's already too late for them).

Also, why would you use a website full of pooner porn and Α/Β/Ω madness for training data? What's the use case of an AI that can write like a fujo?
There should be a community watch thread on AO3 and it's absolutely fucking just downbad retarded community if there isn't one already. Believe me, I used AO3, I even wrote on it, and I was engaged w/ the community, and I tell you somethin': this was the greatest single fucking mistake I ever made. Never, NEVER again. I'd rather make my own fucking website and upload my fanfics there or go to ffnet or literally ANYWHERE else JUST because of the community it's THIS bad.

The Fanfiction Horrors thread kind of covers that. The fanfics discussed there prove that 99% of the AO3 user base belongs in a lunatic asylum.

If I had a dollar for every fanfic where Victor from Arcane is turned into a pooner, I could buy a fucking MacBook Pro!

Another phenomenon of the AI age that I’ve noticed increasingly more often is the hordes of Indians and low-aptitude people under every tweet with large engagement: “Gork, is this real?” “Gork, what does this mean?” “Gork, please kindly to be explaining me this post?”

Are they abandoning thought, or did they never think in the first place anyway?

Do you really think the primary concern in the context of "AI written posts" is that people are asking AI to refine their words, rather than people setting up bots to respond to things autonomously and polluting the web with "what an insightful observation -- you're absolutely right! Let's delve into that further:"
Lmao, you're describing something that has been a problem well before the current crop of AI rebranding of machine learning. Where do you think the dead Internet theory has spawned from?

The only people I've seen complain this much about ghosts and bots are the same people that seethe on reddit about a research paper using ai to argue with other, objectively dead humans who are terminally online.

Besides, I'm more worried about the the bots that can ai generate cp, and other content used as a spam army of posting cp, gore, and other criminal content. Words are a content moderators sugar compared to the trivial bs yall are howling at the moon for.

If you asked me I don't think this work considering the shere volume of training data gained from mass internet scraping. Let's be honest, AI using someone's artwork for training is inevitable.

Theres currently a gemmy raid on /soy/ where 'teens use xitter's Grok to edit in Israeli (and sometimes Indian) flags into the artwork of xitter users to make them seethe. (Thread) (Archive)

This had the intended effect and caused intense leakage among xitter artists.

Sorry, feature touristing. Was going to reply in to the Sharty post but it's already buried in 10 pages of incomprehensible memes. Speaking of soulless art, they've literally ruined the troonjak for me.

Looking at this I now understand why these people think tracing over AI images is supposed to be an attack against AI when they react like this when the opposite happens.
But they think tracing over it is attacking AI because any kind of tracing is considered a mortal sin. The supposedly authentic 'craftsmanship' matters. I imagine it's similar 'thinking' to how that Lumen City furry takes photos of people he doesn't like.

Hysterical indignation aside, I'd be more sympathetic if everything these people do wasn't just unbelievably trite and childish. Political fantasies, furry avatars, and video game stuff. This isn't creation, this is digital daydreaming.

Like what the fuck was that supposed to be before they changed it? Is that Lego Princess Leia? If you genuinely believed in preserving the skill of digital art as a craft, why would you waste it making that.

Are they abandoning thought, or did they never think in the first place anyway?
It could just be people memeing or experimenting or bot accounts collecting information for machine learning. As for the Indians, it's this.

𝕏 is the only platform they don't have a significant presence on. Indian languages are completely different from English (the Sanskrit alphabet has 51 characters), and they are incredibly culturally delicate and have many many nuances, which Grok has overlooked. Indians were flocking there trying out the AI, and apparently it/was can both be chill and unrepentantly offensive.

"Oi bhos***la, chill kar" was what the chatbot said. The uncensored version should apparently read along the lines of "Oi bhosadpappu, chill kar", which according to what Indians looking at it are saying, is roughly the equivalent of "Chill out, cunt": As literally as I can work out: "Hey, whorish vagina retard child, chill out."

Edit: I have to archive this shared Grok conversation here because I can't copy the log, but basically an Indian is telling it off and getting the bot to explain itself. https://x.com/i/grok/share/foAPemCielIspMxC84wyzlTMX

Edit: There were rumours it was going to be banned because of the war. But I tested it with a VPN and Google Translate and it worked, but because they both use similar translation models, I can't tell if the issues are fixed.
