Welp, I just beat the No One Lives Forever duology.
I gotta say, I can see why they are considered cult classics. The style, humor, and overall charm I don't think I've experienced in an FPS series outside of the Timesplitters series.
Also, I know this may be a bit of an unpopular opinion, , as most say that NOLF 1 is better, but while it does have more varied locations, set-pieces, and weapons, I overall think I prefer NOLF 2. Maybe my view is skewed due the music in the first game for me often not activating and just playing the default stage music rather than what was supposed to play. But generally, I found NOLF 2 to be far more polished, have far less frustrating stealth mechanics, and just in general, played far better than the first. So yeah, I found the sequel superior.
All in all, while not my favorite Monolith (RIP) title, as that still belongs to F.E.A.R., the NOLF series is one that definitely deserves more love.
Any thoughts?
